The bucket began with 6 pieces (3 breasts 3 thighs) topped off with 4 lots of fries. But that was simply not enough, 8 wings and a cheeky mini fillet chaser bolstered the meal to new heights! To wash it down Pepsi (diet)
As chicken goes I think it was cooked very well, blessed be the 2 breasts and 2 thighs as they hit the spot but variety is (the 11 secret) herbs and spices of life. The feast was not over 6 wings, a mini fillet (dipped in Gravy obvs) and 2 lots of fries later and one can say ones hunger was satisfied.
Now as a devotee of perfection my scores are reflected as so..
Chicken 8 - cooked very well, but a balanced diet is required and 3 of each piece is not. An ideal bucket would give you 2 thighs, 2 breasts and 2 drumsticks. Drumsticks? I hear you say.. These would balance out the delicate flavours of the chicken and push chefs cooking to all new levels. Plus there is always room for improvement.
Fries 8 - I'm very fussy with fries, if it's not maccy ds fries it's got an uphill battle. Although these were good tasting, not being salted from the fries doesn't allow the salt to soak in to the chip and that's the magic right there!
Gravy - 8 good flavour, good thickness.. But unfortunately suffered from a lump or two. Although with a quick dip and a big bite that minor flaw was forgotten.
Wings - 8 some KFCs get these horribly wrong, however Chiswick had good sized wings, good flavour and not dry at all! The odd dip in the Gravy just added to the experience tickling the taste buds with a little kick in the back of the throat.
Mini fillet - 9 the pièce de rèsistance Lovely soft toasted bread, perfectly cooked mini fillet with the lovely pepper mayo sauce. In short I should have got 2.
Hope you...
Read moreVisiting this KFC restaurant was certainly a disappointing experience. The staff were unexpectedly rude, leaving us feeling frustrated and unappreciated as customers. To make matters worse, the sizes of the servings were much smaller than what was advertised. We felt that we didn't receive what we had originally paid for — needless to say, it left a sour taste in our mouths. The overall service and product quality of this particular branch reflects poorly on the KFC brand and reputation. In order to ensure better customer satisfaction and improve customer relations, it would be beneficial for the company to send representatives from the headquarters to run an inspection. This could help ensure that all branches provide consistent customer service and product quality in line with the brand's standards. We hope that by taking such measures, KFC can strive to offer all customers a satisfying experience that lives up to their expectations. As regular visitors of the chain's other branches, we understand that this appalling situation is not typical of their norms. We look forward to being greeted with friendliness and having our needs fulfilled in a timely manner when visiting again...
Read moreIf I’m not happy with a place I usually choose to just not leave a review rather then complain. But I’ve had such rubbish service here so many times now I thought it was worth saying something. We placed our order on the app, arrived in store and waited for it to say ready on the screen before claiming it. Went up to the counter to pick up the order and was told it would take 21 min to cook more chicken as they had just served the rest. I’m fairly certain I could see chicken in the heated tray, but decided not to ask because I didn’t wanna be rude. 25 min came and passed, and another 3 customers came up and got served while I was clearly still waiting. The staff then proceeded to gather around a Sainsbury bag and excitedly talk about whatever was inside it. At which point I politely asked how much longer it would be until our order was ready. Once I asked it was clear they had forgotten, and then had to search through the system to try and find what the order was because they had already marked it...
