Frankie and I had a lovely time last weekend at Kiss the Koala , we weren’t able to book on the day so instead we rocked up at about 12pm after waiting for 10min we were seated inside. It was clearly very busy so we were happy to be offered a table so quickly. Frankie ordered the peach iced tea and I ordered their famous iced chia latte. We were surprised at how delicious the iced tea was as neither of us are bigs fans normally, good for someone with a sweet tooth. The chai was nice although wasn’t very cold. We ordered the same main as we both had been eyeing it up on Instagram earlier that day . The Kiss the Koala Korean Chicken Waffle- Korean BBQ Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Red Chilli, Spring Onions, Black & White Sesame Seeds & Edamame Beans + Fried Rich Yolk Egg , we also added extra maple syrup. I only recently discovered my love for Korean BBQ sauce - Bulgogi , as I am not a fan of normal BBQ sauce. This meal did not disappoint! Firstly it looked absolutely beautiful, but the taste was impeccable nice and crispy with some heat but not spicy and a lovely freshness. 10/10 would get it again. In terms of service and pricing I think the service was good as we had everything we needed and were attended to. The price for how lovely the meal was I found to be very reasonable around £15 a main. Looking forward to bringing my housemate here after my glowing review !

Service was faultless and the space inside is nice, but the food was a mixed bag. I had the broccoli hash with eggs and truffle cream cheese which was super tasty. The potatoes were lovely and crisp and there was just the right amount of truffle in the cheese so that it wasn't too overpowering. However, my partner had the Kiss the Koala brunch which was just disappointing in comparison to the hash. The mushrooms were soggy and seemed like they'd been steamed rather than fried. The 'house beans' were just Heinz with half a jar of Thyme dumped in them. The bacon could have been cooked a little more for my liking, but I admit that that's more a matter of personal preference. And I was utterly baffled by the inclusion of halloumi; who looks at a fry up and thinks it needs the addition of deep fried cheese? As I say, given how delicious the hash was the brunch just felt disappointing by comparison. Prices weren't cheap and we were a little surprised to see how much our brunch had cost upon receiving the bill. If both dishes had been as good as the hash, I would be perfectly fine paying what we paid. But given that the cooked breakfast was not up to scratch, we didn't feel like we were paying an agreeable price. I should like to return to try some other dishes; I'm curious to see if they're as good as the hash was.

Love this spot! It has a cosy community feel and we were impressed by our dishes. What we ate We had smashed avo toast with a boil egg on top and the Chicken and Waffles. Which were both super delicious. The sauce on the chicken was to die for, so happy with our dishes. What we loved The staff were so so friendly, they took time out to speak to my friend and I. Made sure everything was OK with our food. Interacted with my baby. We felt super welcomed. They offered to still seat us even thought they were closing their premises to the public for a private event. The food came super quickly and you can tell it was freshly made. I love the coffee. (just note they charge 50p for some oat milk). What we would have liked - the spot welcomes children and babies however there wasn't any high chairs or no baby changing facilities that we noticed on site. It does not take away from how friendly staff and owners were to my child and I. We felt welcomed. I would definitely come back to try something else on the menu!

Everything felt a bit smoke and mirrors, all style and not much substance. My girlfriend and I are massive foodies, and we LOVE trying new places, so naturally we were so excited to visit. If I'm honest the service was really poor. There was a friendly waiter who sat us down and then rushed off (understandably busy) but then we were treated quite rudely by some other members of staff. We were asks what drinks we would like and then were told the coffee machine was broken. When asking if they could let us know when the machine was fixed I was meant with a blunt rude reply. My partner wasn't even asked if she wanted to order a drink before the waitress turned her back and walked away I felt like we were almost imposing on the restaurant, like we didn't belong there. The food was visually stunning but incredibly overpriced for what it was. the Veggie breakfast had pretty small portions for the price, and the Smoothie bowl was incredibly shallow. It would have barely filled a small cup and didn't fill me up at all! I understand that sometimes things can be more geared towards the aesthetic but the 'instagram value' of this meal did not justify the cost at all I could then hear the couple near us ordering coffees - so the coffee machine was clearly back up and running, but we weren't to know as no one let us know or decided to check back with us. When I asked where the toilets were and if I was able to use them, the waitress looked at me with a look that made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and waved me in direction of the toilets. I can completely appreciate teething problems, and perhaps being busy and rushed off feet, but for the amount of staff there were to customers, I felt like a bit more attention should have been paid, I honestly felt so uncomfortable the entire time. I never like to leave poor reviews but honestly we both left feeling really deflated and gutted. The food just wasn't up to scratch and the atmosphere was cold. I don't think we will be rushing back...

Finally tried this Aussie brunch place earlier this morning and I liked that it was super easy to book a table online. Unfortunately, we arrived 5 minutes late and was dealt with a very nasty superficial hostess/waiter with blonde highlights who said that we only had 40 minutes left on our table (my partner and I found her to be super rude and didn't make us feel welcome and dropped a star ). The male waiters were really friendly and helpful and provided a good service but it was a shame that our first impression of this brunch place was from someone who has an attitude problem.

The food was really nice but indulgent. I ordered the Korean Buttermilk Chicken Waffle because the pictures on Instagram looked amazing and I had heard good things about this dish - it was absolutely massive and very visually appealing! The price seems expensive but actually I thought it was decent for brunch in London and the portions we were served. The chicken was very sticky and sweet which had a great combo with the waffles. My partner ordered the brunch fry up dish and enjoyed it - the halloumi and hash browns were very tasty. Both our dishes were quite big portion sizes so if we were to come back we probably would have 1 to share between the two of us.

The interior decor is nice and I spotted the koalas! Unfortunately, it was super noisy and loud due to it being smaller than say Beam in Crouch End and it did feel like you were rushed to eat brunch. I would visit again but not in a rush to come back as it isn't on our doorstep and Beam has been a lot more reliable. I understand the appeal of this type of restaurant but ultimately just felt like there was a lot of fried food on the menu and it's not the most healthiest of dishes. Nice food but unfortunately made you feel...

6 Stars for Kiss The Koala 163 Priory Road N88NB this actually a.k.a Cafe but really is a Breakfast & Lunch Bar & Restaurant serving posh nosh fry up & dinner, rosemary mushrooms in the fry up? It is definitely a rarity and had made me post a review, first impressions is a british Jaguar racing green manky panky looking cafe from a far, with an old green retro looking fascia called Kiss The Koala; my thoughts was kiss my area; however a local guy said they're good bruv. Here we was on the last available table before the queues began, in the naughty corner with bright clean pink outdoor plastic chairs, spanking clean and a clean gold table, I'm from Chelsea and that's what we get but we really pay for it... anyway; what it felt at the time, opposite the run down newsagents ordering drinks. We ordered food and it was big and generous and quality, and I know this because I live and eat at the Chelsea Harbour Hotel. The staff are all cute, boys and girls, Sophie is fit and friendly and Amelia is too wink wink hot! no hanky panky intended, I was going ice skating so I got the bill immediately, they have alot of staff but are overwhelmed, do not come for a quick munch, come for gold cutlery and quality breakfast with booze or lunch. In a nutshell call it an all day breakfast club with alcahol, quality, quantity, value and buffness. Thank you so much! Xxx...
