The Phoenix Bar & Pizzeria N22: A Relaxing Spot with Pizza and Pub Fare

The Phoenix Bar & Pizzeria N22, located near Alexandra Park, offers a combination of pub classics and pizzas alongside drinks in a laid-back setting. Here's a look at what you can expect:

Ambiance:

High-Ceiled and Cozy: The bar boasts a high-ceilinged space with wood accents, creating a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere Classic Pub Vibes: Expect comfortable seating and classic pub music playing in the background. Outdoor Seating: A beer garden allows you to enjoy your drinks al fresco on a nice day

Food and Drink:

Pizza & Pub Fare: The menu offers pizzas made with a wood-fired oven, alongside classic pub dishes Mixed Reviews on Pizza: While some reviews praise the pizzas, others mention inconsistency in quality, with some pizzas being soggy Limited Beer Selection: Reviews on Tripadvisor mention a classic selection of lagers, pale ales, and IPAs, but potentially lacking a wider craft beer variety.

Things to Consider:

Inconsistent Service: A couple of reviews on Tripadvisor mention issues with service, so be prepared for a potentially relaxed pace. Limited Online Information: Detailed information about the menu, current events, and atmosphere can be hard to find online.

Overall:

The Phoenix Bar & Pizzeria N22 offers a casual pub environment with pizzas and pub fare alongside drinks. The relaxed atmosphere and outdoor seating are a plus. However, be aware of potentially inconsistent pizza quality, limited beer variety, and the possibility of a slower service pace. If you're looking for a relaxed pub experience with a focus on pizza, it could be worth a try, but keep the potential...

Very disappointed with my experience yesterday at Phoenix bar and restaurant. I had approached this bar and asked one of the members of staff how long the food was being served for and I was told it usually stops at 7pm but they have an extra 3 hour slot so I am able to order food without any stress or rush. I decided to order some food and I sat and waited my turn. I felt from the very beginning that some of the members of staff were being discriminatory and derogative . I am not one to complain about things like this as I don't usually experience this on a daily basis but they were blatantly being very disrespectful to both my friend and I. I got up to go to the rest room only to come back and see a lady speaking with my friend explaining how they are closing at 7 and we need to leave. At this point out food hadn't of even arrived and they were trying to kick us out. I explained to the lady that a member of staff had told us that they have 3 hour slot and we are able to eat. She then proceeded to tell me that if we had a slot reserved we can stay - This was never mentioned to us. If they had told me this to begin with I would of went somewhere else to eat. She asked the member of staff who had told us we can stay and he confirmed that we were indeed correct. Then the other member of staff who had told us earlier we can stay for longer approached us and spoke to me in a very sarcastic and disrespectful tone. I had addressed his behaviour to him.

I will never come back to this place - I myself own my own business so I have a massive understanding of customer service. To have experienced this at this day and age is immensely disappointing and I really hope you change your views on young people who dress a...

This would be a nice bar if it weren't for SOME not all of the staff. The bar /cafe is in the middle of a huge park and its a favourite place for people walking dogs and dog walkers. Why then is this bar NOT dog friendly. The Victoria Stakes just down the road is a shining example of a dog friendly bar. They bring water and dog biscuits. They pat your dog, smile and are clearly dog lovers.unlike the suspicious glares in the Phoenix. It's not that I object to being asked to put my dog on a lead. It's how I'm asked. How I'm made to feel. Some staff speak to you as if (my dog is very small, quiet and well behaved), dogs are not wanted and neither are you the dog owner. But if you're both very well behaved they'll tolerate you as a special favour. Today I tried to sit outside the entrance so my dog could wander a little. She likes a little quiet wander before she curls up to sleep. The table was dirty ...not only did they not clean it when asked, they refused to bring my coffee out...we don't allow.china cups outside. The bar was quiet 2/3 empty midday on a Wednesday,. The atmosphere was so unpleasant by then that I left leaving their coffee unpaid for. I went instead to the garden centre cafe where staff were really friendly and accommodating and signs were up saying 'Dog friendly'. My advice therefore- IF YOU HAVE A DOG NEVER GO TO THE PHOENIX BAR. You'll not be made welcome. They obviously don't need your custom. Go to the Garden Centre or the fabulous Vic Stakes...

Fantastic and safe outdoor pints + pub grub! ! Really mindfully designed for safe, socially distanced seating in the sunshine. They have a selection of menus and you order and pay via app receiving table service🍕🍔🥩🍟 They have a vegan menu and a classic American Diner with chunky meaty cheesy lush burgers and crispy thick chips. Pizzas-a-plenty and you can even treat yourself to a steak. The ale selections are great (though sadly, no Guinness😑). The staff are very kind and truly charming yet professional. Be aware it is outdoor on a hill so it may be a little windy🌬️.... Also if you are a group table ordering from different menus things may not arrive all together - fair enough! Enjoy the gorgeous views and you can even do a little celebrity spotting🤩

Glad we chose the Phoenix and visited Ally Pally before catching the train to Arsenal. Plenty of parking both on the street and car park, which is still £3. A great place to relax, taking in the city views, lovely park and historic venue though. The Pheonix is a good, safe feeling pub. Not masses of seating with most tables inside reserved, but still was easy to find somewhere. The person who served us was a nice un, Pizza's and drinks were decent quality and priced reasonably. Only gripe was the drinks being served in disposable cups, which for drinking inside spoils the experience and why the 4 stars. The Pheonix is a dog and family friendly pub though and hope to return.

I visited the Phoenix bar the first time since covid times for a nice beer after a walk in Alexandra Park. It’s a beautiful bar right next to the Alexandra Park. Convenient if you’re next door ice skating in Alexandra Park, or had walk in Alexandra admiring the views of Central London. Now inside the Phoenix bar, there’s a Pizzeria company called Fuoco that bake oven baked pizzas. The bar has some good classic selection of lager, IPA, Pale Ale. It’s a nice cozy bar, with comfortable leather seats. The play a variety classic pub music. A bar I recommend visiting if you are at Alexandra Park.
