Korat Thai Cafe — Restaurant in London

Under new management, so this review is based on before and after. Decor: newly decorated, the interior is looking good, new ornaments, wooden panels and lighting installed. Much improved than previous! Service: equally as attentive and friendly as before, which is always good when under new management. Food: Menu and portion sizes remain about the same, but the flavour is not the same. My favourite dish, the beef massaman curry was more watery, felt like a broth rather than curry. Tried a new dish, whole steamed seabass with lime sauce - delicious!! you get a whole fish, typical in asian cuisine so have to battle the bones and all. Sour and delicious with vegetables and some stock. Great value option. Look forward to trying out the rest of the menu to see what else...

Our starters took time to arrive but honestly it was well worth it didn't realise it was made from scratch, the main course was yummy, the people working in the restaurant were very nice to, very happy with the service and food highly recommended, oh all so you can take your own drink to, which i didnt realise till we where leaving the restaurant (BYO) i do apologise i didnt take any photos the company of my friends was so great i totally forgot to take pictures of our food and i would like to add we were the first to arrive and the last to leave, we wasn't asked to leave neither which was lovely. Hopefully next time I'll be going there again very soon and I will take picture's of everything we order next...

WARNING: We've been ordering from here for ages without any problem - usually tasty green curry and steamed sea bass. Thought we'd try out the red curry last weekend. My girlfriend is severely allergic to nuts, so as usual when placing our order by phone, we mentioned this twice. For the last couple of months there's been a new guy on the phone - he made it clear: 'no nuts'. However after starting our meal my girlfriend experienced anaphylaxis. I had to call an ambulance which took us to A&E just as she was losing consciousness. Stayed there till we had the all clear at 4am. Very scary. Will be writing to the restaurant immediately after posting this. Real shame as we've enjoyed their food for...
