Unfortunately you cannot enjoy this pub! It has become the most antisocial pub in the neighborhood! There is always a fight every other weekend! I ve come to the conclusion that it must be the manager who brings these troublemakers. It makes no sense, there are three pubs on the same road but it's only this one that has the fights, the screaming and shouting etc! No wonder why most families have put their houses on sale and have left within the last 3 years! The council is a complete disgrace! Reply: You know it's true, you have no clue that your drunk customers come outside our windows to argue while you re having fun inside! You have no idea what it is to wake up every Friday and Saturday night because someone outside is shouting and swearing or crying and screaming! I have sympathy for everybody whose sleep and peace is disturbed, but I guarantee the Weavers is run by people who will sit down, listen and find a solution if you have a problem.
It's ridiculous to say people would move away because of the Weavers. The Weavers is an important part of Newington Green. It has also provided real support for many in the area over the last few years. It's a warm and welcoming place.
PS: Cocktails are great too. Have a...
Read moreA proper pub in the real sense of the word.
No fakery, gimmicks or twee wallpaper bookshelves here. The horseshoe bar is original and serves to make everyone feel part of the ‘craic’.
Excellent beer at inexpensive prices. A diverse crowd, reflective of the neighbourhood. There is a steady bunch of regulars who come armed with a ready wit that will have you in stitches.
I love the way Tracey and her staff make everybody feel as if the are part of the family - regulars and newcomers alike.
Next time you are in Newington Green, pop in for a pint. The Guinness is...
