The food is good and authentic. The waiters are kind and well mannered. But the service is just unacceptable. We went there 3 couples and 3 two year old kids. One of us was mexican. After waiting 20 min to be seated (that's alright it can happen), with half of the restaurant empty (on a Saturday evening) we waited 2 hours to have only part of our tacos delivered. Why on earth takes so long to make tacos? They're the quickest things to prepare!anyway...surprisingly we realized not even other customers were being served. They brought us some nachos to wait, but the Pico the Gallo was so spicy kids could not eat it. After 2 hours empty stomach the poor kids started going nuts. The same waiter who took the order came to ask us if we were all good and there was something missing...we said "basically, everything - toda la comida!". No food had been delivered. So, after having kindly asked many times for our food and having received in various tranches only 30% of what we ordered, we decided to leave almost empty stomach. Of course a soon as we prepared the kids to leave, all the missing food arrived! We then asked them to please give us the food to take away. They said they would, we waited but nothing came. So we went to the cashier to pay and of course they tried to make us pay the entire bill, but we managed to pay only what was delivered. What can I say, a great pity... if the service was just barely acceptable, it would be a great place as the food is good, and the waiters, despite the service shamble, were...
Read more2 "Street tacos" for £8. Well, they better be good, then.
Within a short walk of Euston Station up Eversholt Street ( if you're as disappointed in train station food as many are) we found this spot.
We've eaten at well over 50 Mexican restaurants in our life do our experience is quite extensive. Here's what we found:
A hard working staff member (with a lovely singing voice and big smile).
A building that was sparsely decorated (like many Mexican restaurants) .
A small menu with rather high prices compared to other Mexican food.
We ordered the Chorizo Tacos (2 for £7.90) and the Alambre Tacos (2 for £8.90).
The flavours on both were nice, the hot sauce really accented the tacos nicely.
If you're looking for a quick Mexican fix the flavours were good. Up to the expectation that the price set? That you'll have to decide for yourself. Pictures attached of the...
Read moreI finally found a good taco al pastor in London! I have tried many Mexican places in London and I can say this is definitely a unique place, their tacos are perfectly balanced, you can taste the favours of the meat, the tortilla, and the incredible fresh sauce. I would definitely recommend this place as their tacos are spot on. Juicy, flavourful and spicy everything you want from a taco.
I also tried their michelada and their cantarito both refreshing and they perfectly paired with the food.
They also serve Mexican corn covered in chilli mayo lime and grated fresh cheese, this was my very first time trying this dish and it was truly amazing.
Excellent service from Javier who really shared his passion for Mexican food and helped me with excellent recommendations...
