Murger Han is one of those places that doesn't quite shout, come in. It could be the fact that the restaurants name is not in English, I believe it's Chinese/Mandarin?? Then the staff aren't the most inviting. However, if you're brave enough and just walk in, especially as this place is nearly always full of Asian customers, maybe a testament to its authenticity. We got a table in the far corner, by a window, which was nice. As we were the first in, our orders were taken promptly. We ordered beef noodles and sons noodles. When the noodles arrived the soba had vegetables and some meat in it along with other bits that we weren't sure of. Similarly in the beef noodles there was more than noodles. We did actually ask what was in the noodles but we weren't told of the extra ingredients, even when we asked about the extras we could have added to the soba. This could be an issue for people who dont eat certain things. The menu is very plain and doesn't detail any of the dishes like you would expect. The staff were or seemed very moody, not just with us but I observed this with others too. I may go back once more just to see whether it was an off day and also just to give the Murger a try which one of the other customers said was very good. That may change my option somewhat...
Read moreDo not judge a book by its cover. This restaurant is not noticeable along the quiet Eversholt street, and it looks isolated somewhere in between the two busy areas: Camden Town and Euston. I decided to take a leap of faith despite the average reviews through word of mouth. It was rather packed (but well it was a Friday night), there isn't much on the menu and I just went for the Biang Biang noodles (a local food in the Shaanxi Province of China if I am not mistaken). If anyone had tried Pan Mee in Malaysia, it is basically hand-made noodles (dried or soup), usually eaten with minced pork, anchovies or even mushroom, along with a sauce-plate of pounded chili dip. The Biang Biang noodles served here is very similar except that the sourly-chili base/sauce seems to be cooked together with the dish itself. One bite of that along with some minced meat gives a uniquely memorable taste in your mouth. The waiter/waitress were really polite as well! If I had to point out one small issue, it would be the place being a little congested, hence not recommended for a large group. Still, as an overall, I will have to give Murger Han a...
Read moreWe arrive this place on around 14:00 29th Jan 2019, this is worst service we received in our whole life! There are three staffs in shop one Asian lady, one Asian ugly guy and one non-Asian guy. The ugly Asian guy never ever smiled and knock his head to show us the table to sit and then keep talking with the Asian lady without giving us the menu, I can see he is making a good fun with the lady. We asked if we can have a menu and the ugly guy just give us cold shoulder and throw the menu on the table and walk away continue to chatting with the lady staff again! It’s our first time to come here and obviously this staff is not showing any good service. i Reckon if he is so hated the job and want to kick all the customers out of the shop lol. End the end we paid for the meal and pay for 10% service charges too lol. We received no customer service and pay for the service charge is totally ripped off. This staff show greeting when every customer enter shop, no saying goodbye when customer leaving the shop. Just busy chatting with other staffs who is constantly sitting...
