KOI Ramen Bar (Tooting Market) — Restaurant in London

I eat at Koi ramen tooting a couple of nights a week because I live across the road and the food is amazing. I go there with my friend after the gym all the time, and I have introduced many friends to Koi. We are gay and I have taken many of my gay friends there. Unfortunately we have stopped eating in because there is a bearded guy called Fernando who is the most overt HOMOPHOBE I have experienced in a place like this in years. In stark contrast to the other normal friendly staff at this establishment his behaviour is disgusting. On no less than 10-12 times when I have arrived with other gay friends, upon our arrival has given us filthy looks, turned to his Asian colleague and made derogatory comments about us and very obviously made it known that he does not want us there. Tonight I had enough and mentioned it to another member of staff who did not seem at all shocked but was very apologetic. To whoever owns this establishment, you are letting yourself down by having this small minded biggot on your staff. His behaviour is abhorrent and out of place in tooting in 2018. I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH !!! it’s not an exaggeration. i love this place so much that i would work and dine there.

the food is already incredible, hot and freshly made! the staff are incredible giving the best service whilst dealing with many deliveries and orders but still maintain incredible composure !! they are so cool too and always look incredible !!

the atmosphere is enjoyable to be there for that i always get mesmerised and hooked watching them cook and serve food. i work in a restaurant and i respect their hard work and their work load they are always able to maintain !

This is like my third time coming here and it will always be to my go to restaurant to dine and relax at! also also also the staff there are extremely caring and incredible that i enjoyed how they took their time to teach and help a trainee under a lot of pressure and rush !!

Ordered 2 ramen on Deliveroo and I called the number listed on Google maps immediately to ask for the noodles to be separated from the soup. The lady on the phone asked for the branch and the order number, which I provided, and she confirmed the note would be passed on.

The ramen arrives with noodles and soup NOT separated meaning the noodles had soaked up a lot of the soup, resulting in gross mushy noodles and not enough liquid soup. It completely ruined what would have been a tasty meal.

It's a simple request, one that they have successfully done for me once before, and I don't get why it's not their standard practice. So many other takeaways and restaurants already do this with their noodles, even when they're not non-ramen...
