I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Lahori Church Pakistani food restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped foot inside, I was greeted by the warm and inviting ambiance, which set the stage for a truly memorable dining experience.
First and foremost, the menu at Lahori Church is a testament to the rich and diverse culinary heritage of Pakistan. It offers a wide variety of mouthwatering dishes that cater to every palate. Whether you are a fan of traditional Pakistani cuisine or someone looking to explore new flavors, this restaurant has got you covered.
One standout aspect of my visit was the impeccable service. The staff at Lahori Church were not only attentive and friendly but also had an extensive knowledge of the menu. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and assist with any dietary restrictions. Their passion for the food they serve truly shone through, making me feel like a valued guest throughout my time there.
Now, let's talk about the food itself. Every dish I sampled was an explosion of flavors and spices that transported me straight to the streets of Lahore. The biryani, a staple in Pakistani cuisine, was fragrant, perfectly spiced, and cooked to perfection. The kebabs were tender and succulent, while the curries were rich, creamy, and infused with aromatic herbs and spices.
What truly impressed me about Lahori Church was their commitment to maintaining the authenticity of Pakistani flavors. The chefs clearly take pride in using traditional cooking techniques and sourcing fresh, high-quality ingredients. This dedication to quality is evident in every bite and is what sets this restaurant apart from the rest.
If you have a sweet tooth, don't miss out on their delectable desserts. The sheer variety of traditional Pakistani sweets on offer is astounding, and each one is a pure indulgence that will leave you craving for more.
Overall, my experience at Lahori Church Pakistani food restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the warm and friendly service to the tantalizing flavors that danced on my taste buds, it was a culinary journey that I won't soon forget. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to savor the authentic tastes of Pakistan in a welcoming and vibrant setting.

Read moreOn 23rd July 2015 we went to see a show at The Cockpit and on the way we thought let's have food at Lahore. Most Lahore's are really nice. However we had the worst experience ever. Firstly we had to wait 1 hour for dinner @ 10.30pm despite there being free tables. Omer the manager was adamant that we were not allowed to share tables...even if the diners didn't mind! Secondly when we finally got to sit down after 1hour, we were not served or nobody even came to take our order for a further 30mins...finally my friend had to tell one if the waiters to come and serve us he came after 15mins after being served! We finally placed our order, king prawn methi, masala fish, Karai Gosht, salad & 2 butter nans one plain. After 40 mins we were told that they had no more Karai gosht left we could have a free fish of anything else...so my friend chose chicken Karai. It took them 40mins to tell us this!! Wow then another 20 mins to tell us they ran out of chicken! Which Lahore restaurant runs out of chicken this is unheard of...and believe me we are regular Lahore eaters!! Shocking!! We never recieved the salad or butter nans just plain ones...we spoke to the manager and he says because at the beginning we were requesting for a table for 2 and we didn't mind to share as behind us there was a party of 3 & 8 he thought we were being confrontational hence why we were treated so badly! Myself & my dearest will not be visiting Lahore restaurant in Gatesforth Street again. I also will let The Cockpit Theatre know the disrespectful behaviour the manager Omer has and how they treated us Indians (hindu's) at there restaurant. Omer I will be taking this complaint further to FSA the UK Government Body as I don't trust and believe your food levels are to the standard a restaurant should be. Horrendous food, disrespectful service & the most awful Manager who was extremely confrontational. Review...
Read morePlease read: There are some very strange reviews for this restaurant. One individual below rated the sprite highly? 🤯 Mick ordered a “curry” called Haleem and said it was a bowl of mush. Others have said not as authentic as it used to be and others have said the best Pakistani food outside Pakistan. Nonsense! There are some dives in London that serve REALLY good Pakistani food but the venue is just too shabby. The Naan here caters to English taste buds and tastes to me like it has sugar in it or too much. You will like it if you like Indian restaurants. The Haleem was actually decent haleem but you have to know what haleem is to start. I make and eat Haleem in various places. Theres was actually pretty good. Portion was small for the price. Better than a place in Hampstead and not as good as a place in Euston. But this is by authenticity vote and my knowing taste buds. I would say it would be very difficult for this restaurant to please everyone as its trying to be both Indian and Pakistani so some of both wont get what they expect at times.
I was there i the same period as someone below who mentioned the bathrooms but I didn’t see what they did. It was fine.
I went after the lunch period and it was very quiet. When a restaurant is in quiet periods like that the. You get to notice other things.
I would say they need to mop and wipe all surfaces everyday with some good perhaps lemon smelling cleaner/disinfectant.
Its a decent place all in all and they could up their authenticity as they are supposed to be Pakistani with robust flavours.
Prices are punchy so they need to perform 10 out of ten time’s.
