A premium Islamic institution as a symbol of faith and equality, freedom to practice our religion in the midst of city of London.

Unless something is done quick, this place will become another controversial and disgraceful for all Muslims living in London.

Ramadhan prayers extremely disorganised. It appears two factions fighting between Egyptians and Sudanese.

During Tharaweah prayers every day there was a physical aggression drama unfolding at the mosque. Very ugly seen between very matured and extremely religious looking men and women!!

A knife incident is very close with literally people holding two fully charged up grown from assaulting each other. A complete disgrace.

The fight starts with Idrees trying block places for Egyptians and selected friends on the front rows soon after Asr by placing prayer mats and bags in the front and second rows. Then placing plastic chairs for special / disabled (but they don’t look in need except seniority).

What is this big drama of distributing water bottles jumping over seated worshipers and throwing bottles across to known people!!

Absolutely no HSE rules observed. Why not keep an area for people who needs to use chairs closer to exit doors? Why scatter the plastic chairs at random. Isn’t it a Health and Safety risk?

Horror, they even place the prayer mats blocking three of the two main exit doors!!

No emergency exits for fire or paramedics. You come out of the mosque, at the main gates it’s like thugs collecting money for various charities. Billings gate is more orderly!!. Who knows the end recipient?

Cars parked on double red lines on a two lane main road. They wouldn’t even move it away soon after prayers completed. A complete disaster to happen. Why not invite the law enforcement to put in some discipline. Isn’t it a requirement in Islam to respect the law of the land.

Just because it’s a place of various cultural people gathering together doesn’t mean we do not respect the laws of UK. If we don’t like it, we must leave UK and go back to our countries.

Where are the trustees and administrators of the mosque ? If they don’t want to put it right, why not step down and give it to others ? Or should the law enforcement from Police, local council and HSE take...

I am so glad I came Wednesday and not on juma as was my original plan! I haven’t been in 15 years and thought whilst in London we will pray our salah there! People need to read the negative reviews as the real representation of this mosque. The mosque needs to read them and change things!!! The women’s toilets are a nightmare, this is the UK, what are you doing??? That is so disgusting, cleanliness is supposed to be half your deen.

Then you walk through the toilets ( yes there is another entrance) to go to the ladies which is a small area up the stairs. As I walked up the stairs there was Muslim woman shouting at her father on the phone recording the conversation, another Muslim lady stops her saying that’s wrong and then another Muslim elderly lady starts shouting at the woman who is telling the other woman off to stop letting her child run around and send him downstairs. And she’s starts arguing with her. Kids SHOULD BE ALLOWED this is not what our prophet PBUH would have done. Then My girls go to pray and this Muslim lady comes up to me and asks me personal question of why I’m not praying and if it’s cos I’m on my period I cannot be in this area, I’m not allowed in the masjid and I need to go ask the imam and he will tell me the same. I told her, people like her put people off Islam and Muslim women leave Islam coz of people like her and all the nasty Muslim women that think they own the place!! I left with saying to the woman fear Allaah and so should all her gang that was there!!! Literally empty I wonder why!!!??!!

This is not a masjid!! AVOID AVOID AVOID! Facts!! Any beauty that I experienced from the recitation and the dua made by the imam all disappeared!! The state...

As you may see in the comments, a very well maintained mosque and probably the biggest of all in Europe. It is nicely designed however my bad rating is for the people praying there and management.

You see people there on their phones in khutba, others constantly taking pictures like we are in a museum! You hear brothers and sisters talking loudly and children running around and screaming while you try to concentrate and worship on taraweeh after a long day at work. If you somehow evade all this, you find ill-mannered teens fighting and joking DURING prayers! All this without a single word from the irresponsible parents and management team. It is no surprise for me how bad the situation has become for us Muslims considering what I saw in this mosque.

During Ramadan and Jumaah it becomes too crowded you barely find a spot outside in cold and rain. The entrance is so small and gets blocked by deceiving beggars masked as donations takers and people waiting for their family/friends to come out.

The management also doesn't have a clear method of defining their prayer times or detecting months starts, on many occasions I found them just following Saudis and using fixed times for Isha, get your prayer times from a more reliable source.

I think this place needs an extension and a redesign, also management has to figure a way to stop the things that distract and annoy worshippers. After a long day I want to come to the mosque to focus on my prayers and relax and finish my day quietly not to get agitated and go home...

Alhamdulillah, very grateful to have access to such a beautiful space for worship. Here is more information for ladies looking to visit - Firstly, there is a separate side entrance for the women’s section. Sadly there is no sign to direct women but here’s how to find it: Instead of going across the courtyard to the main entrance, turn right and go straight, you will see the ladies entrance on your left. You can also go to the mosque’s main entrance and enter through the wudhu bathroom facility that’s on the right near the bookshop. But please shut the door behind as it’s often left open for no valid reason. There are two ladies areas, so plenty of space! - Main area is upstairs with the same carpet as the mens prayer hall, a stunning view of the chandelier, small bookshelf, extra prayer mats and a skylight. The speakers here are loud and clear. - Another space downstairs (via the concrete stairs on the right side of womens entrance) which is spacious but not as well kept. This is usually where mothers and children stay. The speakers here are not as clear and sometimes have feedback so not autistic friendly. - When it gets super busy they bring out prayer mats to pray on the green outside too. Finally, there is a separate shop for womenswear where you can buy scarves, abayas, etc. if you haven’t got your own or forgot to bring it with you!

Attending Eid prayer at London Central Mosque was a deeply moving and spiritually enriching experience. The atmosphere was filled with unity and joy as thousands of worshippers gathered from all backgrounds to celebrate together. The organization was impressive despite the large crowd—volunteers guided people efficiently, and the prayer space was well-managed both inside and outside the mosque. The khutbah (sermon) was powerful and relevant, reminding everyone of the values of gratitude, patience, and community. It was heartwarming to see families, children, and elders all dressed in their finest, exchanging smiles and greetings. The sense of togetherness and peace was truly special, especially in a city as diverse as London. Overall, praying Eid at London Central Mosque was not just a ritual—it felt like a celebration of faith, resilience, and hope.

I visited this masjid on Friday for Jummah Namaaz. Jummah's sermon was knowledgeable regarding Islam. It offers a pleasant environment for Namaaz. It is magnificent and very spacious with different sections for men and women. The women's entrance gate is near the Masjid entrance gate. This Masjid has a neatly maintained ablutions and washrooms facility. This masjid has two additional facilities - an Islamic shop and a Restaurant(Downstairs). Islamic shop has books, caps, Janimaaz, Qurans, Thobes, etc. The restaurant has reasonable options for non-veg food and it is cheap as well. Tip: If you are visiting Masjid to offer prayer, please visit London Central Mosque Trust Ltd. & The Islamic Cultural Centre (iccuk.org) for the prayer timetable.
