I visited Lasagneria Italiana in Chelsea for lunch and drinks. I was very pleased with the great variety of the menu with such a fabulous choice of lasagna and pasta dishes. Spoilt for choice I opted for the trio portions, which were deliciously rich, creamy and comforting. We also tried the Gourmet Lasagna Genovese which tasted flavoursome and truly authentic with its classic blend of traditional Italian flavours and the slow cooked beef with bechamel sauce was delicious and aromatic, a real gastronomic treat which you simply must try! We were very pleased with our food and were delighted with the authenticity of the cuisine.
I highly recommend the Lasagneria Italiana lasagna dishes which are delicious, flavoursome, very appetising and authentic with fresh ingredients. The restaurant has a wonderful range of drinks and we particularly enjoyed the wine, a perfect accompaniment to our meal!

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Lasagneria Italiana in Chelsea, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! As a lover of Italian cuisine, I was eager to try their unique take on lasagna, and I was not disappointed. The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the welcoming manager, whose warmth and enthusiasm for the restaurant were incredibly charming. It set the perfect tone for the meal ahead. The atmosphere is vibrant yet cozy, making it an ideal spot for a casual dinner with friends or a romantic night out. What really stood out was their innovative approach to serving lasagna. Instead of just traditional slices, they offer a delightful selection of different types of lasagnas presented as little tasters. This concept allows you to sample a variety of flavors in one sitting, which is perfect for those who, like me, can't pick just one favorite. Each taste was a revelation—rich, flavorful, and distinctly Italian. The layers of pasta were perfectly cooked, and the fillings were both generous and creative, showcasing a balance of classic and contemporary flavors. From classic Bolognese to more adventurous combinations, every variety was delicious and beautifully presented. The portion sizes were just right for tasting, leaving you wanting more without feeling overly full. I must also commend the attentiveness of the staff, who were eager to provide recommendations and enhance the dining experience. It's clear that they take great pride in their food and service. Overall, Lasagneria Italiana in Chelsea is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and delicious dining experience. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their enticing...
Read moreLasagneria Italiana is a small eatery in Chelsea with a clear concept—serving a wide variety of lasagne—but unfortunately, the execution doesn’t quite match the ambition.
The interior is compact, seating about 14 across seven two-person tables and a few bar stools. Décor is a mix of brown-painted walls, wood panel strips, faux greenery, and bursts of pink floral accents. There are also two small exterior tables, adding a bit of charm.
The menu is certainly substantial when it comes to lasagna, with classic, gourmet, and trio options. I went for the trio to sample a variety, but the results were mixed at best: • Carciofi (Artichoke): Featuring artichokes, bechamel, mozzarella, and parmesan. This was under-seasoned, with a bland white sauce and barely enough artichoke to make an impact. It needed more flavour and salt to stand out. • Calabrese: A ragu of Italian sausages with spicy ’Nduja, red onions, spinach, ricotta, and a tomato base. This was the strongest of the trio—spicy, flavourful, and not overly oily. A good balance that showed potential. • Siciliana: Tomato-based with aubergines, mozzarella, and pecorino romano. Sadly, this was far too oily and salty, with the aubergine contributing more grease than flavour.
While the portion size was generous, the overall quality didn’t live up to expectations. The trio, though promising on paper, was ultimately underwhelming.
A 12.5% service charge is added, though service was just average—efficient but impersonal.
Verdict: Big portions of ordering the trio, get to the more dishes But underwhelming in taste. Worth a try if you’re curious, but it’s more about quantity...
