Latin House — Restaurant in London

Giving this restaurant a 1 star is very generous. Service was horrendous, food was horrendous, the overall experience was horrendous. The owner came to have a chat with us and was absolutely disrespectful. The mixed grills came with thick seasoning as if it had been accidentally poured all over the meat. We stated this as only a mouthful had been eating. The manager stated she would take it away as it was no problem but charged it to the bill. No offer of remaking it or taking it off the bill. Ordered a vegetarian pasta dish that came with seafood and ordered a seafood dish that came with no seafood. With this one they did offer to make the vegetarian dish again but after waiting 45 minutes for the dish to be remade it came with sea food once again when we've ordered off of the vegetarian menu. We also ordered "homemade bread" also vegetarian suitable but it came with the bottom covered in meat fat. After stating this they stated it was actually cooked beside the meat. One dish in particular that was ordered never arrived. We asked for no chocolate on the desserts but was drowned in chocolate when they came. After being upset and frustrated we spoke with the owner who was very rude and decided to turn around and have a conversation with his friend during talking to him. Laughing and joking in the middle of it then decides he couldn't be bothered with it all so walks off. We came to this restaurant for a birthday but we decided to leave without cutting the cake. The gave us back the birthday cake damaged on either side. We got offered 30% off the bill but we was charged for the food that was sent back for their mistake. After bringing this issue up they decided to print another meal that only took a further £11 off which doesn't even make sense. £200 later we've been conned in paying for their mistake and leaving hungry and disrespected. We've lived in camberwell for 20 years and we will make sure that we let all the locals know to stay clear of this restaurant. There's so much more that hasn't even been touched on but I'd be here forever if I did. Stay clear! Went here on a Saturday night for a birthday celebration. The overall bill for the whole night including starters, mains, drinks and service charge for 12 people was only just over 600 pounds. This is a great price as there were multiple orders of lobster, t-bone steaks and mixed grills, along with a large amount of drinks throughout the night. The service was exceptional and the waiter was incredibly attentive to the empty plates and drinks were offered when they where running low. The waiter made a few recomendation for food which was great as he had very comprehensive knowledge of the menu and drinks and this made ordering food and drinks very easy dispite my lack of correct pronunciation for the items on the menu.The food is very full of authentic south american flavours and very generous portion sizes, there is a very wide range of food on offer from tapas to mains, with seafood on offer to suit all taste and enough meat to satisfy even the hungriest of carnivores. There is also multiple sharer options on offer for 2 to 4 people potentially more due to the generous size of the portions. This is a hidden gem that is a must for anyone looking to get a taste of Latin cuisine. The cocktails are very well made and complement the food very well. I would especially recommend the margarita straight up. The overall feel and look of the resteraunt is great and I will definitely be going back in...

Well I didn't know what to expect when I visited this restaurant which at the time I was taking a break from visiting a dear friend at the nearby hospital. I was actually blown away, I cannot express how delicious the food was, I had the Parillada which was a huge meat feast.

Where do I start firstly the ambience,I felt as if I was actually somewhere in South America. Their Long Island Ice Tea was to die for, none of the usual where the sweetness drowns the alcohol, they were perfect.

The food, Oh MY Goodness, I know they say its Quality over Quantity, well LH wins both the portions are massive and the quality of the food is ace.

I loved it so much that I returned to celebrate my birthday with my family (20 of us) even though I completely live out of the area, we have veggies, pescetarians and even vegans ( oh yeah and a nut allergy) and low and behold they catered for us all. They really know their stuff!!! I believe they are introducing entertainment soon, can't wait for that.

100% I would recommend this restaurant, it defo ticks all the boxes and right in the heart of Camberwell Green, Who would have thought?
