My mother recently spent three weeks in the hospital nearby, and during that time, she struggled with her appetite. I discovered Viet Cafe, a local Vietnamese restaurant, and one day, while ordering food, I shared my concern about my mother's lack of appetite with the owner, Sonia. Knowing my mother loved soup noodle. Sonia generously offered to prepare chicken pho for her every day. She even took extra care to adjust the texture of the food to make it easier for my mother to eat. Sonia also lent me a large soup bowl to help keep the pho warm, which was incredibly thoughtful.
I am immensely grateful for Sonia's kindness and support during this difficult time. My mother was so happy and comforted by the daily pho, and it truly lifted her spirits. Thankfully, she has now been discharged from the hospital. I was deeply touched by Sonia's genuine care and concern, as she always asked about my mother's well-being whenever I came to the restaurant.
While Viet Cafe may not have a fancy decor, the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. I am truly thankful for the warmth and comfort they provided during a challenging period. Every time I visit, I make sure to order a variety of dishes, including their delicious Chicken pho, Beef pho, (only available on Saturday) Chicken vermicelli noodle with soup, Rice with grilled pork, grilled beef, and grilled prawn. The food was so authentic and consistently fresh and delicious, the portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. Our whole family absolutely loved it !
Viet Cafe is more than just a restaurant with great food, it's a place filled with heart and genuine human connection. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and heartwarming dining experience. I will definitely be back to Viet Cafe especially on a Saturday, as the pho...
Read moreI had a bad experience today with the service. The old lady was really rude. However, the other lady was very lovely and felt sorry for me. Bless her
To the owner: Appreciate your reply. What happen was from the time we came in for lunch she was checking that each one of us has ordered food before we even sat down. Then, I ordered shrimp roll and lemon tea as its the only food I can eat on the menu and brought my own food. Then as soon as I as she saw my food she came to me and called my attention and so the people on the queue were looking at me. So I apologise and quietly have my order so as not to make a seen. She could have told me in a nice way. I have been to the cafe for a long time bringing colleagues with me. The old lady was really nice at that time and she would even come and joke with us. I just wish she’s ok and...
Read moreA few months ago I took my son to the hospital near by and I forgot my purse and had no cash to pay to get my car out at ‘a very STRICT cash only car park place’. I panicked and started to ask different near by off-license if they would accept cash back and they all said no. I decided to ask at this place because I knew they were Vietnamese and maybe they could help another fellow Vietnamese out. They said no… I thought if I don’t even have a chance here, I wouldn’t have a chance anywhere. I started to cry because I felt hopeless and stuck. That’s when they felt sorry for me and gave me £10 cash back and I paid them more to cover the fees. Anyways, I’m so thankful for that day for saving me and your banh mi is honestly so delicious! I always make sure to get me some banh mi, whenever I’m...
