Spice & Nice Bakery — Restaurant in London

I visited this establishment today and purchased four beef patties. Upon arrival, I noticed the shop was quite empty, with very little food displayed on the shelves, which initially made me hesitant. However, since I was hungry, I decided to give it a try. The patties were kept in an open tray, exposed to the air, which gave the impression they were not freshly stored. They were warmed in the microwave—something I understand is their standard practice. However, when I received them, all four patties had the filling spilling out of the pastry, which was immediately off-putting. Upon tasting, the pastry lacked the expected flakiness and had very little flavour aside from being overly spicy. Unfortunately, the overall quality was extremely disappointing, especially considering this was a place I used to enjoy years ago. It seems likely that the shop is now under new management. Regrettably, I can say with confidence that this was the worst patty experience I’ve had—and I’ve tried many excellent patties over the years.

NEVER AGAIN! I am not even giving this a star it’s just so i could post a review. Ordered curry goat and white rice, when the lady brought the food through to the front it was cold and asked if i wanted it warmed she tried to be very courteous while talking to a colleague about my order in Patois, i remained calm and collected and she asked me if I wanted something else as there wasn’t much meat and added plantain and steam cabbage to the meal. As i was paying for my order a customer mentioned that the meal is supposed to cost £5.50 i was charged £6.50 not much difference if you ask me so i paid thinking the flavour will make up for the price difference it didn’t make up for it. The food was bland I couldn’t taste any curry and went back to the shop for salt and pepper sauce, there was no salt so just put loads of pepper and went on my way the pepper made absolutely no difference to the meal it was as if the the pepper sauce was diluted in water. I bought cow foot with rice n peas. Plus 2 dumplings from this place as a take away. When I got home and open the containers. The food was not fresh. The dumplings had enough salt to kill 2 humans and the dumplings was like 3 days old. Hard and dry. No wonder he put a extra dumpling for free. The cow foot had no meat on it. Just bones. Rice n peas was over cook that it was tasteless. If you buy food from here open it and check it there. This kind of food you do when you want to scam people and make a little profit for yourself. Oh, I forget too mention, I was given three different total before he realised I was no fool and acting all nice. Dam thief £25.00...£10.50...then £15.50. And the rudeness when you try to order. Man turn his back and walk off.. leaving you saying excuse me. Excuse me. Comes to you 10 minutes later...
