The owner seemed to be pleasant when I first started coming to this cafe and the more I came I began to notice the owner becoming very comfortable with being rude and abrupt This palace is absolutely dirty, all the high chairs for children are absolutely filthy, the owner was very arrogant when I had mentioned the food given to me was under cooked without decent presentation. (Should have taken a picture of my watery poached eggs) He seemed to dislike the fact I asked for another meal, he requested me to leave the cafe and never come back. He told me this was a breakfast he had been cooking for twenty years but yet another person in the back prepared the meals as he did the serving. So what cooking he did I' will never know, seemed like the tea guy to me. His mannerisms was aggressive and fairly uncalled for. I am absolutely ashamed to think I became a regular at this place. The manager obviously is an ungrateful soul with an ignorance beyond having decency and fair customer services. Lack of professionalism within this cafe and I thought it was friendly initially. Not to mention I was with my one year old at the time and it was raining and he thought it'd be good idea to throw me out. I can see he didn't want other customers to hear that the meal wasn't of standard. But truth is, a job doing is a job doing well. And the lady... genuinely nice, and welcoming and smiley. I'd like to have this cafe as a local one! So, if you are in the magic Crystal Palace, ditch the fake-posh/Camden-town-priced Joanna's or the other fancy place on the other side of the triangle and stick to this small cafe. And have a pint after that with the money you've saved. There are nice pubs...
Read moreI have been coming to this Cafe with my family for the past 2-3 years now, the service is friendly and always welcoming and accommodating. I have never experienced any racist views, opinions or felt out of place when i'm here, otherwise i wouldn't come anymore.
The manager(i think) is always friendly, when we suggested that we were moving out of the area, she told us how long the journey would take to get there and followed up with 'see you soon', and she was right!
Best breakfast in the area by a landslide,...
