Yesterday we ordered 2 pizzas from this place. It's not the first time we have ordered from here and we have never had a problem until yesterday. One of the pizzas, the meaty one as shown in the picture didn't taste right . As can be seen several people took a bite and said there was a funny taste and smell so they left the pizza. The other one we ordered which was a tandoori chicken pizza tasted absolutely fine. When we contacted the staff at Mario they said nothing can be done about it so we decided to go there with pizza in hand to show them that we haven't eaten all the pizza apart from a few bites. The manager was very dismissive at first and wasn't prepared to listen to us. She glanced at the pizza and said you told me 5 people had taken a bite but there are only 3 bites and our customer policy is that of someone has eaten a slice we will not exhange or refund. She went right in and said she had sold 300 of the same pizzas and no-one has complained, to which I said but we are complaining so tell us what you are going to do to rectify it. She said they wouldn't be giving us a replacement or refund as no-one has complained about their pizzas. She was very rude actually and the customer who had originally collected and paid for the pizzas lost her temper with the manager as she felt she wasn't being listened to and was being called a liar. The manager went and hid in the back and refused to come out and resolve the issue resulting in a very distressed customer. Another customer tried to step in to help resolve the issue and the managers response was again very dismissive and blaming the customer for being angry at her. We had to call the customers' sons to come and help resolve the issue and tell the manager that we aren't lying about the pizza. Yes 3 bites are there but there was a slice where 2 people had taken a bite thus 5 bites were taken. Eventually, the manager refunded the money by slamming the cash on the counter...but that wasn't the point. The point is, if a customer comes and says they aren't happy with the quality of the pizza, good customer service would be to take it on board, offer an alternative pizza or refund. We shouldn't have to explain the number of bites to justify an exchange or refund. We were happy to order an alternative pizza because we haven't had an issue with the pizzas in the past. At some point in the discussion the manager also turned on the customer and asked her when was the last time you prayed and went to the mosque?!! Completely uncalled for and totally irrelevant to the situation. Unjustified reaction from a manager towards a customer. Never ever have I come across this type of behaviour from a manager. I have worked in retail myself, you always treat a customer with respect and find a solution where both parties are happy. Because of the managers reaction and behaviour towards us we will no longer be buying...

Me and my boyfriend went several times to Mario's pizza and we always paid full prize pizza. Yesterday we decided to take advantage of one of the offers displayed on the flyer (any size pizza collected between 11am-4pm with 2 topping at £6) and guess what, the owner refused to let us choose that offer stating that it was too cheap, even if we were there at 3ish pm. The owner was eating an apple while he was talking to my boyfriend and told him with arrogance "you can have the offer for £8 because I will not do the one for £6 as is too cheap". We haven't asked for any reduction of the price, we simply wanted the offer from you advertised on your flyer. If you are not willing to sell what you advertise you should remove the offer. Obviously we will never return to Mario's pizza again or send our airbnb guests to Mario's pizza anymore.

On the other hand we found a place called Tops Pizza, down the same road on the opposite road site. The quality of the pizza was excellent and there was generous quantity of topping for an absolutely reasonable price. The owner made us feel welcomed & valued and gained a new customer. Highly...

Literally the worst place to eat pizza from within the area. ‘Anytime, any size’ for £10, one of the worst promotions tbh this place fell down years ago I went back to give it another try and yet the same experience. Firstly I got given the wrong pizza went home to find out it’s wrong. Secondly I went all the way back yet they tried giving me the same pizza which had been sitting there for 20-25 minutes and it doesn’t sound so bad but by the time I got home it’s been over half hour, before taking a bite I pulled apart the pizza and you could instantly tell it was cold. All they had done was throw in 3 dips even offered me to pay for the pizza I had to exchange ‘take it for a fiver’ is the business that down well safe to say I won’t be returning. Lastly I called to let them know it was cold and they should have made a new pizza and he tried saying it’s my fault for going home. Let’s leave it at that and say just don’t bother with this places so many better options just down the...

AVOID this place and save your money. Been a few times to this place over the past few years. They used to be decent. But the past few times the pizzas have been tiny and they are very stingy on toppings. From the pictures you can see what I got for supposed '15 inch' pizzas which were 13 inches. To add to the dissapointment of the quantity, the quality was also so low. The pizzas were very tasteless, and lack of cheese made it like eating a massive loaf of bread. Paid £28 for these two pizzas through ubereats aswell which is an absolute rip off. Called Mario's to complain and the guy was extremely dissmissive and rude. They absolutely did not care at all that I was an unhappy customer. I'm pretty sure owners have switched or something. There are WAY better options around this area.
