Max Cafe — Restaurant in London

This was my second time here, and I already know it’s going to be my go to greasy spoon 🥄 🙌 My omelette was amazing, and the prices are great. Even the toast so simple, but perfectly buttery and still crispy was a standout! I love the energy here; it feels like stepping back in time. The hospitality is incredible Max will remember you! You can tell the regulars really love this place. People walking by the cafe even stop to say hi, whether they’re coming in or not. It’s clear that Max’s Café is a cornerstone of the community. They never said " no sorry set meals only" Or charge double because i deviated a little from their menu !! They gave me what i wanted instead. They put love into the presentation. The portions were very adequate. And when i asked for "toast" it was two slices like it always used to be in all cafes instead of the new greedy one slice cafes. Oh and the price was very reasonable. Take note cafe owners somebody out there is doing it better than you! I will drive miles to go here rather than come to your dictatorial...

A real treasure that stands the test of time in a forever changing highstreet. Don't expect bottomless brunch or smashed avocado on sourdough! This no nonsense London caf provides great food at even greater prices. The owner Max is a real character who seems to know every customer by name.
