World Heart Beat Embassy Gardens - cafe, concert venue and music academy — Attraction in London

Lovely decor, vibe and music, but unfortunately poor food and drink. Sat for over 30 mins waiting for a cup of tea and a cheese and onion toasties. Due to them being busy, I waited and eventually went up to politely ask "Will my tea and toasties be much longer" Straight away I was brought my tea, with the milk already poured in (way too much for my liking) and it certainly was not a teapigs, as ordered. I seen my toasties get put in and again it got busy, so I waited as the lady serving was now by herself. Another 20 mins had gone by, I heard an order get shouted but it was not what I ordered, so joined the queue, to this time get a refund. To be given the toastie that had been shouted previously, so not only had it been sat for a length of time, it was also the wrong order. Just like to remind people that this place is a charity first with a great little Café attached.So I've been a regular here since it opened. It's a great little place just a short walk from where I work, and I'd say well worth the steps. In that time the staff have always been friendly and helpful. They recently started to hold items for those going into the US Embassy situated just outside, along with a printing service for your documents at what is a very reasonable donation. All this from a charity its actually quite good. Yes the queues are longer and it's busier. But there's nothing these guys and gals won't do to help. At the end of the day compared to service from actual coffee shops around this area and the bars too this little gem deserves all the praise in the world. No...

This is a review about the cafe. The cafe interior is very nice, great lighting, wonderful jazz music and the staff here are very friendly and kind. However the coffee was maybe one of the worst I've had out ever. I'm not trying to be rude or over reacting, unfortunately my coffee was borderline hot water with no flavour or taste, a very weak hint of coffee.
