I had a really disappointing experience at this Greek food store that I feel I need to share. I spotted some fresh-looking melomakarona (Greek honey cookies) next to the till and asked the owner if I could have some in a box. Instead of giving me those fresh ones, he pointed me to take one of the pre-packed boxes from a shelf nearby. I also got a spanakopita (spinach pie). When it came time to pay, something weird happened - the owner kept the card machine facing towards himself so I couldn't see the amount before tapping. I ended up paying £17 for just these two items! It seemed way too expensive, but I went ahead with it. The worst part came when I got home and opened the melomakarona box - they were MOLDY! They must have been leftover from Christmas (these are typically Christmas sweets). I live too far away to go back, and I couldn't even find a phone number or email online to contact them for a refund. I'm really disappointed in myself for not questioning the price right away and for supporting such a dishonest business. The owner clearly knew what he was doing by: - Steering me away from the fresh cookies to old stock - Hiding the payment screen from me - Charging an outrageous amount - Selling food that could make someone sick - Making it impossible to contact them afterward I hope my experience helps others avoid making the same mistake. I should have trusted my instincts when things started feeling off. Don't waste your money here - there are plenty of honest businesses that deserve your support instead.

When I was in Greece for a holiday, my friends and I went to this small bakery to have their baklava every day. Since I got back to London, I’ve not found baklava as good as the one I tried. I happened to pass by this cafe in Kensington and wanted a coffee. Tried their baklava and oh my god, it’s the same exact taste. I highly recommend you eat here. Furthermore, I feel as if ever since the pandemic hit, we need to support smaller businesses. If you’re not going to come here for anything else, do come for the pistachio baklava! The man working there was very very friendly too

Such a delight to find this place. Just off the hustle and bustle of Kensington High Street is this independently run Greek cafe. So lovely to see the owners behind the counter and proud of their creations. Just popped in for a coffee and had a baklava, but there’s a huge selection of Greek dishes including Moussaka, and probably 20 other typically Greek options. Closest thing to being in Greece this side of London!

Authentic Greek food which is overpriced and the homemade feta and spinach pie was not very fresh at all. Everything is heated up in the microwave. Although, the Greek salad was ok - the slice of feta cheese was too much and quite sickly. I tried one of the sweet pastries, it was so sweet - saturated in syrup. I felt sick after eating here. Even the lady behind the till pretended the Amex machine didn’t work, I wanted to benefit from the Shop small scheme as it’s a small local business. I give 2 stars because the cafe was clean and there was a large variety of dishes. Maybe I was just unlucky that day... I will definitely not return...

I have been here several times and it can be really hit or miss. Unfortunately, the food is lacking in quality and freshness. The food often tastes old. Sometimes I ask "what is fresh or made today" before I order and they always just respond saying, "everything" - but I know this isn't true. The prices are also quite high. It's not nice to pay £9.50 for moussaka that is 2 or 3 days old. I'm truly disappointed because I really want to support local family-run Greek restaurants. I hope the owners read this and make some changes. There is nothing better than Greek food made with fresh ingredients and...
