Metropolis - Vauxhall — Restaurant in London

Came here last weekend after recommending by some friends and it was a great choice!!! The place itself looked very nice, decor and design was good, the staff and security were very welcoming which was very nice!!

The food vendors looked amazing. I wanted to try everything but unfortunately couldn’t fit it all into my stomach😭 so I had the beef tacos from Birria Tacos, steak bowl with mac and cheese from Ogosht, and a couple of slices of margarita pizza from Fresco Pizzaria. Everything I had was absolutely amazing.

The tacos were a great choice to start with, juicy, filled with meat, flavourful, the dip was extraordinary🤤 the steak and mac and cheese was also amazing, the steak was nice and tender and the Mac and cheese tasted great, not basic at all!! The marinara sauce in the pizza was different but nonetheless amazing, had a slight tang to it which I liked.

At the end I had the signature milk tea from Nuttea which I really enjoyed! Tasted like a sweet walnut but as a drink!

I highly recommend Metropolis as a hang out spot with a range of options of great food!

I will definitely be coming back this weekend with some more friends to try some more food vendors inside, definitely looking forward to trying the Smash Burgers...

Has been our go to for watching Champions League football with food & drinks since it opened. However, 8 of us went last Tuesday evening for just drinks and it was exceptionally quiet. Upon arrival at around 21:30, I had to walk to the far end of the bar as the waitress was more engrossed in a conversation with her friend than seeing if anybody wanted serving. In isolation I wouldn't even mention this BUT: At around 22:00 my son went back to the bar to order more drinks only to be told the bar was closed, He pointed out the website closing time was 23:00, but told that they close early if it isn't busy. I then went to the bar asking why last orders weren't called or that we should double up on our order when we arrived, but the girl was clearly uninterested and more focussed on her early finish over keeping her customers happy. I understand the policy, but at least communicate with your customers and don't just close the bar when customers have made a walk especially to have a few beers/spirits. Terrible CBA attitude and me and my friends will now find an alternative establishment to watch this seasons Champions League. I'm sure our money...
