This place is GOOD. I am glad I was too tired to walk to another restaurant and chose to come here. We both ordered thali. My partner got the chickpea curry and Tikka masala. I got the garlic chicken/spinach and Tikka masala. All of them were extremely good. The Tikka masala is not overwhelmingly buttery and creamy like it is in America, it's much more flavorful and savory. My partner does not like Tikka masala in the states but loved this. The pickles were also great. Everything on the plate was worth it. I wish I could have 100 of the poppadoms and coriander parathas. The service was very, very good. Super friendly and attentive and answered all of our questions. As the owners were leaving they asked about the food and we had good conversation. To answer their challenge: 1. My partner likes both teas. He does not usually like tea, ever. He says the masala chai is better. Sorry husband! 2. I love all teas and I like both of these. This is much better than stateside chai. I think I'd have the masala chai in the morning and the Turkish tea when relaxing or when I need a pick-me-up. I can't decide on a favorite! Thank you!

I used to live in London, but have now moved to Hong Kong. I was in London briefly for work and this restaurant was located near my hotel.  I came based on the reviews and photographs of the thali which looked so good.  It was!  The thali was really nice.  Good variety.  Not like your typical Indian thali.  I loved the combination of spice from the curries, combined with the refreshing yoghurt sauce and salad.  I couldn't fault it.  The poppadom, pickles, mini samosa, paratha and rice were the perfect accompaniment.  To finish, a nice sweet which was baklava.  Very generous.  Beautiful presentation. I would have taken the leftovers with me, but as I was staying in a hotel, this wasn't so easy!  I would definitely go back when in London again.  I went for a very early dinner on a Saturday evening, so it was quiet then.  I was a solo diner.  If you are with others, order a variety of dishes and share.  Good menu.  Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Efficient service.  Nice interior.  Very clean.  There are only a few tables.  Small restaurant so you may struggle to get a table when they are busy. Highly recommend.

Update !! Back to Mona's Went for the meat Thali and was amazing photo attached ! Was so full of different flavours and a terrific portion ! Having lived in the area for 15 years and always wanted a proper family run non chain Indian I always jealous of the wonderfull food stalls east London so I was over the moon to see MONAS open up in my community, friends had visited the market stall and loved the Turkish / Indian menu. So I was so glad when paid a visit to the new home in Marleybone. The food is sensational, this is proper home cooked handed down recipes that make for the most delicious dishes. I had the fiery lamb which is spicy but so full of flavour the chicken curry is ideal for those who like a little less spicy but again full of flavours. The lamb kebab went down a treat and the special rice is magic. The kids had a Nutella roll and my wife the hallumi on roti with lashings of salads Something for everyone. My birthday soon and have picked MONAS for my dinner, its that good

From the moment you step through the door at Mona's Restaurant, you're treated not just as a customer, but as royalty. The level of personalized attention and care here is simply unmatched in today's dining landscape.

Tamer and Mona have created something truly special—a haven where authentic Indian cuisine meets world-class hospitality. Each dish arrives as a masterpiece of flavor, with rich, complex spices that transport you straight to the heart of India. The menu strikes that perfect balance of traditional favorites and creative specialties, all prepared with obvious passion and expertise.

What truly elevates Mona's above other fine dining establishments is their extraordinary customer service. Every staff member seems genuinely invested in creating a memorable experience. They remember your preferences, offer thoughtful recommendations, and attend to every detail with graceful efficiency.

Mona herself often visits tables, sharing stories behind special dishes while Tamer ensures everything runs flawlessly. This personal touch transforms a mere meal into an unforgettable experience.
