I was given a gift of a deep tissue massage as a birthday present. The massage was good and the therapist was lovely. I found out the price of the massage and was shocked!!! For the overall experience at the landmark hotel and spa this is a complete rip off.... On arriving at the landmark hotel I was not greeted by anyone at the front doors and had to navigate my own way through the old doors myself on entering in the foyer I had no idea where to go finally one of the passing by staff told me to head to the basement... That was my experience of the landmark hotel. On arriving at the spa it took a little time to be greeted by someone (understood it was a weekend and busy) but also the fact that it is a gym and people have memberships to the pool and gym these seem to take priority. I felt what was offered for the time while you are there could have been explained more - water relaxing pool etc etc. Only after the massage was done to be lead into a locked room for "relaxation" behind lock and key. Minimal loungers for relaxing around the pool, and again little to offer. I feel for the price you pay on what you receive in return is minimal, a more wholesome, fulfilling experience would have made me feel as if I would want to book the next massage the therapist tried to sell to me on leaving... Even pouring the customer a cup of tea or glass of water in an actual glass would make all the difference.... Sadly I will not be coming back, and will not...
Read moreI visited the Spa at the Landmark Hotel in Feb 2023.
I booked the spa day deal - ÂŁ160 for access to the spa, 2 express treatments and ÂŁ30 credit towards a light lunch.
Jacqui, the therapist, was absolutely brilliant and very professional and talented. I cannot fault the treatments I had. Best facial I have had in London so far. She is genuinely a lovely lady and an asset to the hotel.
The Spa itself needs a little updating, in my opinion. The sauna was not working on the day. The pool itself was fine, and despite a couple of noisy kids accomodating the pool at half 10, once I arrived, they were gone past 11am - so cannot complain too much.
There was mould in the the ladies. showers. This was quite unexpected, and easily rectified. So points down for the that. The shampoo/conditioner/shower gel also smelled quite cheap - lemony citrus- and certainly not premium brand which you might expect from a hotel such as the Landmark.
Towels plentiful, and they provide robes and flip flops which is nice.
It would be nice if the spa provided menus so you could order drinks during your experience, ie. champagne. Great opportunity to upsell here as people are looking to relax, unwind and splash out.
Overall a good experience, but if i was looking for pure luxury,...
Read moreOvercrowded and tired looking spa. Not many places to sit and relax other than inside the pool. Feels like a public gym. I guess because you can buy a cheap day pass on payasugym kind of places. full of very loud people chatting away, making out in the jacuzzi even though it was full of people etc. - not a peaceful experience. Best to avoid if you are looking for a good spa experience. People were queuing for the steam room. Dirty looking relaxing room. Went for a facial which was ok but ruined by the therapist trying to sell me all kinds of products. The last 5-6 minutes she launched into what seemed like a pre rehearsed script on why its very important to use certain products (which i actually use so donât require a lecture on), why the germaine branded products they sell are better than the finest brands out there, etc. Found it very very irritating - and condescending that she assumes that I donât know what to use on my skin. Please actually use my paid time for the therapy and not to sell your products. If I need advice will ask- thank you....
