We visited Nando’s on 1st July and had a very disappointing experience.
The restaurant inside was hot with a strong food smell since our table was right in front of the kitchen. We requested to be seated outside, but had to wait several minutes as the tables were not clean. Once seated outside, I went to the counter to place our order and clearly mentioned we were now at table 32, but the staff insisted on calling it table 16 for some reason.
Half of our order was served to table 32 by the same person who took our order, while the rest arrived 15 minutes later, only after several reminders and follow-ups from our side. The delay was unnecessary, especially considering our order was very simple: 1/4 chicken with rice, peri chips, and corn on the cob. Worse still, when the remaining food was finally brought out, the staff member seemed annoyed that we were even asking about it. According to him, we should have waited and let one person eat at a time while others just sat there waiting!
Another major issue: there was no ice in the dispenser for water or soft drinks. I had to walk in and out four times just to get ice for one glass. No staff member seemed willing to help or even acknowledge the issue.
To top it all off, the 1/4 chickens and rice were cold—we left half of the rice untouched. Only the peri fries were up to the usual standard. Not a single server seemed apologetic about the situation until we finally spoke with the supervisor, Magda, who at least acknowledged the poor service.
This branch usually performs well, but this visit was a complete letdown with cold food, poor service, and a dismissive attitude from most of the staff. Definitely not what we expect...
Read moreWe were a group of 6 as part of a leaving party for our colleague who specifically requested to visit this branch. I have visited many times before but not had such a terrible experience. When we arrived we were advised there would be a 50 mins wait so we decided to sit outside and placed our orders through the app. First drinks order apple cordial was requested we received a juice box of apple. The first food order was correct but the rest were incorrect. 4 peoples orders arrived I was still waiting with my other colleagues who was also waiting for her drink. We queried and were advised its on its way. 15mins later again queried still nothing 30mins later nothing. All the other 4 colleagues had finished their food and we went to speak to the manager who apologised and my other colleagues drinks and food arrived I was still waiting. Approximately 40mins of waiting and every one had finished their food and mine arrived. The staff werent very friendly or apologetic having waited so long but made us feel as if we did something wrong by questioning our orders, I've had better service at Mcdonalds drive through. The manager Aziza did come out and apologise and asked what she can do to help. She gave us some hummus (as requested) and refunded only the delayed meals, at least she helped us. Looks like they also ran of potatoes for the chips very stingy with the portion (see attached picture). Firstly when I ordered the staff member at the till was shocked at how much dessert I was ordering. I then asked him to put the chilli on the receipt for me which he did not do. I then asked another staff member to get the chilli added on for me and they said they could not do so.
I then waited 20 minutes for my order at the till. In that time I watched all the people who came after me be served their orders. I was then asked what I was waiting for, and then a manager came over to retake my order, as I was told it had not been put through even though I had paid and had a receipt.
She then made a note of the order again and she told me that she did not have the dessert in stock.
I then asked for a refund and she said because I had paid by card, she could not refund me my money there on the spot and I would have to leave my details for her to contact me.
So I went to order some dessert, didn’t receive and was made to wait. Then instead of refunding me she made me fill out a form. What a waste of my time. Took them just under half an hour to realise they were out of the dessert.
