Nero Express — Restaurant in London

I love coming to this Café Nero and I visit most weekdays. Most of their staff are amazing, especially the Portuguese gentleman who is polite, funny and makes great coffees. This morning however, though it was the Portuguese gentleman making my coffee, while he went to get my pastry, the woman serving me was so rude. She was flippant and I wasn't even finished with talking to her when she moved on to the next customer. I wanted to buy some chocolate, but she just dismissed me. As soon as his Portuguese colleague came back to the counter, she put her smile back but from customer service perspective, it was a very unpleasant experience. I really regret not raising concerns on the spot but given I respect the gentleman; I didn't want to start his day with a complaint. Next time however, if the same woman is there, I would rather wait to be served by someone else, than leave my money for a disrespectful service. She needs customer service training and close...

I just had the worst flat white of my life at this place. The barista clearly didn’t follow any recipes, he left the milk steaming unattended while making a tiramisu iced latte, and it was a painfully hot mess. Even with two cups, it was still too hot to hold. The two shots of coffee were even coming from different ones, no idea if he used the normal espresso instead of double ristretto??

And the tiramisu latte. The foam was spilling all over the cup, and instead of fixing it properly, he just grabbed a smaller cup and stuck it underneath to catch the overflow. My boyfriend and I were so shocked we had to ask for some tissue to clean it up ourselves (of course, there weren’t any).

I live nearby and have had great coffee here before with skilled baristas and they are very lovely but this one was just unacceptable. They seriously need to tighten up their barista training, this kind of sloppy service completely ruins...

Outstanding customer service

I’ve been a regular customer for the past 5 months , 5 days a week. I can honestly say that the shop is clean and the staff is awesome. They remembered my order within few days I started visiting the shop, not only that , but I’m also one of these crazy customer with a crazy order (tall latte with oat milk , not too hot). So far they delivered my coffee with smile on their face , always making jokes, always friendly, always chatty, it feels welcome coming into the shop.
