I came in on an early afternoon on a weekday so it was empty when I got there. The prices are pretty fair and the sushi quality is mostly great.
However I didn't really enjoy the hot food as much, the karaage was a bit clunky and not very crisp.
Also, the tamago was not defrosted all the way when I got it. I eat tamago nigiri at almost every sushi place I try since tamagoyaki is one of my favorite dishes and I do notice that a lot of places usually just defrost a premade/prebought block and serve that, which is fine I guess since so many places do it, it's kind of unavoidable 🥹 I just wish my tamagoyaki was a little less..frozen in the middle 🫠
Overall though, the place is cute and affordable and on a busy road with lots of other things to do, and the chef was pleasant to chat with and friendly. Would be a great weeknight sushi spot, just stick to the sushi and...
Read moreThis is my first review of anything ever, but I'm forced to do that by my daughter. We were in London this week for family trip. First evening my children wanted some sushi and Ona's bar was the closest one. It is tiny bar with just a few tables, but food and especially service is exceptional. And the most important thing is, we were feeling like at home (even though we were in city with the same population as our country:)) They have beautiful sushi sets for children, children got free sushi and dessert after we have ordered second round of sushi:) my daughter didn't care about any sightseeing, museum, parks... she was every day asking if we can visit this small gem inside huge city again. And we wanted, but it is closed some days, so be careful:). Big thanks to...

Salmon Zukushi The sashimi is really fresh and tasty.
Tempura Tamaki Tempura was crispy and delicious.
Aburi Salmon Sushi (Nigiri) This one's delicious. Seared salmon with mayo and unagi sauce. Highly recommend.
Unagi Don Delicious, however the unagi was a slightly tough.
Overall review: Everything was delicious and made to order. You can see the sushi chef preparing them behind the glass. The sushi rice was a tad bit mushy though, but I think this is something they can work on. Having had sushi in Japan, I think the sushi here is quite authentic and tastes just as great.
Sashimi was really fresh and delicious, I can't recommend it enough.
Came to the restaurant for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon and it was so chill. The atmosphere was calm....
