Orkideh Restaurant — Restaurant in London

Confused by the amazing reviews, ate in with friends who wanted a Persian meal. We said this place had popped up with good reviews so let’s try it rather than our usual. Yes it’s basic inside but the floor hadn’t been cleaned under our table, this should’ve been a warning sign. Never been to a Persian restaurant with encona hot sauce and Mayo on the table. We asked for break and we got what looked like store bought Nan which was cold, didn’t even bother to warm it up, not like other Persian places that make their own bread in front of you. Food came and the rice was warm and cold in different areas, meat was the best bit. Salad was basic with a random thousand island dressing, not even a slice of lemon and not rhe delicious salad you’re used to at a Persian restaurant. No sauces to go with the kebab so just meat, rice, basic salad and a salad dressing. Bit odd and no one came during the meal to ask how it was or even offer more drinks despite it not being busy at all. My friend said the loo was filthy. At least the meat was good so we didn’t feel totally let down but other than that none of us will come back. With quite a few other Persian restaurants in the area I wouldn’t choose here. This time we picked up the food to avoid the previous issues. Ordered 2 baby chickens since they used to make this dish well. There was no breast in any of them but lots and lots of wings! The quality is not as good as it used to be :(

We ordered a take away and the delivery charge only was £6 which is sigficantly above average. This give the impression that you are going to get a good delivery service but unfortunately, we were so let down. We got a call an hour later saying 'oops, we only just got your order' something wrong with the system etc. We were told on the phone that the food will be with us in half an hour but it took more than double that time. My friends and I went to this restaurant for lunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. We hadn't ordered food yet.The shop owner, a short-haired gentleman, approached me and told me that it was better not to hang out with these friends. I asked why.They said your friends were selling drugs. I asked if you knew them.I felt like saying, after a long time the food was ready and we started eating the salad, suddenly I saw that there was a hair in the salad,I called the restaurant manager and said there was hair in the salad.
