I recently stopped by Pizza Cocktails Brixton, a lovely pizza and cocktail bar, while waiting for my bus. I only had time for a quick drink, and was also busy on the phone with my headphones in. One of your team members noticed me and, thinking I might need help or wasn’t happy, kindly approached to check if I was okay. Seamus It was clear that he was genuinely concerned and eager to assist, despite not realizing I was simply occupied with a call.
Once I finished my conversation, I went back in and ordered a Peroni. Just as my bus arrived sooner than expected, I asked if I could take the drink with me. To my surprise, your staff member generously refunded the money and told me to go ahead and catch my bus without a second thought. That level of kindness was already beyond expectations, but what happened next truly amazed me.
In my rush to catch the bus, I accidentally left my phone behind. While I was already on the bus, the same team member went out of their way to chase the bus down to return my phone! Even though the bus had started moving, I got off at the next stop and hurried back to the bar, feeling incredibly grateful for such thoughtfulness.
Both of the staff members I encountered were not only professional but also incredibly generous and polite. Their warmth and willingness to go the extra mile for their customers made my experience truly unforgettable. You are very fortunate to have such dedicated and wonderful people on your team. It’s rare to find such a perfect blend of professionalism and genuine kindness, and I will definitely be returning back to this place, whenever I’m in the area.

Read more100/10 for this amazing board game cafe in the heart of Brixton!
As soon as this place opened I had to visit and I have been back many times since then for the below reasons:
This place has a lovely atmosphere and is extremely cheap, only £2 an hour or £5 for every 3 hours (you cannot find a board game cafe anywhere else in London that can compete with this price)
The board game collection is huge and the food is great! You have to try one of their pizzas or the delicious homemade brownies!
Above all else though the owners of the cafe are extremely lovely and welcoming and will happily take the time to teach you a new game, give you suggestions of what to play based on your interests (as they have played most games themselves) or if you are lucky and it isnt too busy they might even offer to join you
They have helped build a lovely community in Brixton and have brought many would-be and seasoned board gamers together, especially through their Tuesday socials open to everyone
I would, and do, recommend this place to anyone and everyone! You...
Read moreI'd definitely recommend Otter Chaos, which is (as a non-Londoner) the best board game cafe in London I've experienced so far.
We arrived at an especially busy time but fortunately had made a reservation. Considering how busy it was, I felt the staff gave us plenty of attention and made sure we got settled. They were friendly and open to making game recommendations, clearly knowing their stock very well and throughout the night checking in on our game and clarifying rules when we asked (this was not done in an intrusive way, which would definitely have bugged me if so).
Food and drinks were good, with a decent selection available. They did initially forget two orders of brownies, but after we chased the order up they gave us the brownies for free as an apology for the wait. Given this gesture and the fact that they were understandably very busy (literally every seat in the cafe filled), this didn't impact our enjoyment of the evening.
Overall I'd definitely recommend Otter Chaos, especially due to the friendliness and board game knowledge...
