I ordered at 20:05 and was told that I can collect my order in 20-25 mins. I came to the restaurant and had to wait another 20 minutes. I ordered my food without onion or spring onion. After the long wait outside I received my order with onion (chicken with cashews) and spring onions in the toppings for the duck. Eventually my order was brought back after longer wait and no apology was given by the waitress. Just told that she doesn't cook the food and she passed on the message but it's not her fault. Neither is mine! I was told by the same waitress (Maye) who brought the food that the spring onion is on the side with the cucumber. I am allergic to spring onion, that's the reason I mentioned no onion, not to touch the food at all. I have mentioned that I want the green curry with minimum spice and I was told it was possible by adding more coconut milk. My green curry came extremely spicy with large chunks of red chillies which I only identified when I got home. I called and explained the issues and a full refund was offered. I just wanted the food order to be prepared by my requirements not a refund.
It is not the first time I ordered from this place with the same requirements but on this occasion clearly nobody paid any attention to my needs. I appreciate the popularity of Paccata restaurant but the allergies and customer requirements should be taken seriously. Evidence attached where onion was put in my chicken with cashew dish and red chillies in my green curry. Apology received on email from Paccata after sharing...
Read moreWe saw online reviews and visited the restaurant. We were the only customers in the restaurant. The attitude of the lady who served us wasn't welcoming. She didn't bother to suggest vegetarian options even after we told her that one of us was a vegetarian and cant eat Prawn. After repeatedly asking what they had in vegetarian, towards the end she said that the only dish they could do is a basic veg stir fry. P.S The menu doesn't highlight what dishes are vegetarian. It has dishes like veg green thai curry which we assumed would be vegetarian. However, while ordering we enquired if it was veg to reconfirm and she said that they add prawn paste into it which is why we were expecting her to suggest alternate vegetarian options. Although I am a non vegetarian I didnt enjoy the food as the seafood was rubbery and had been cooked for way longer than required. One of the dishes I ordered went back to the kitchen as I hardly ate but the staff wasnt bothered to ask if we enjoyed the food etc.The lady didn't even have the basic courtesy to say a thank you as we left which is something very normal at a restaurant. She was busy looking into her phone the whole time and ran inside the kitchen as we were leaving. We wont be visiting again and wont recommend it to our friends or family. I dont know if the staff had a bad day or something but this is certainly not how you should be...
Read moreCame across this place on a Tuesday night, sadly we didn't book a table but staff still accommodated.
So warm and friendly staff.
We ordered the mixed starter, which consists of a selection of their most popular starters, everything tasted great, I especially loved the spring rolls, they definitely weren't shop bought, cooked from frozen.
For our main, it was the king prawn Pad Thai, Chicken fried rice, stir fried pork neck with spicy sauce and a mixed salad. For drinks we ordered the iced Thai tea and Lemon drink, so refreshing and tasty.
When the dishes arrived, staff pushed the empty table next to us to create a more spacious table. So attentive and thoughtful.
Once it started getting really busy, we asked them to take back their extra table for the customers.
We got chatting with the couple on the next table, they told us they were here last night, as it was late, they ordered takeaway, and they enjoyed it so much, they returned again for an eat in meal. I think they also ordered the mixed started and two spicy fish dishes.
Will definitely...
