Once a year I’m treated to a matinee at Sadlers Wells and a meal after by friends. Unfortunately this year I was taken to this awful place. I have never received such poor food and with virtually no choice. It was the set pre theatre meal or nothing. The tables and chairs were grubby and uncomfortable . This was time I will never get back, food I would not have eaten but sent back. The pate and toasted brioche was minuscule but with a large price. Where there should be a gravy or sauce of some kind there was water with a (very slight) chicken essence. It was also SO hot inside that it burnt my mouth to bits. (Not sure if that meant it was microwaved or not). All in all I REALLY wanted to like this pub but the food and drink meant we will not be...
