I’ve been eating from the Rayners Lane branch for 13 years, since it first opened up further up the road. Some years ago this branch became a family owned/run franchise.
I became a loyal customer to this specific branch for the reasons as follows, their excellence in customer service is second to none, so much so I feel like a member of their family, always welcomed and the atmosphere is relaxing, the quality of their cuisines they make here is of no exception either! My favourite combination is their chicken biryani, butter naan along with their chilli and garlic sauce which, I’ve been ordering for the past 13 years so to say that I’m in love with their biryani is an understatement, I think I’m obsessed and addicted. I’ve tried it from other branches and different restaurants but no comes close to the way Azeem the chef puts his love and efforts into making this dish so now, whenever I need a biryani, I always get it from Rayners Lane even though there are 2 other branches closer to me since I’ve moved out of town in Wembley. I haven’t managed to eat from here for a few months due to my work but I reckon I will make up for it as I’ve ordered from Rayners Lane Taste of Lahore 3 days in a row and still can’t seem to get enough of it. Shows how much I’ve missed it. I also love their chicken tikka rolls which are the best in the business, again, I have tried this in various other restaurants but I cannot get the same satisfaction as I do here.
I will also start exploring the rest of their menu over the next year whilst still getting my fix...
Read moreI don’t normally write reviews as you can see but what an absolute joke! Placed a large order for a family meal to then be faced with mould on the naans, not just 1 but ALL naans!!
The owner wasn’t prepared to send replacement food after sending images of the mould straight away upon sight so we told them we’ll bring it all back to him for a full refund. So another 25 minute journey back wasting valuable family time, bearing in mind we did state we had children who were hungry.
Had we not specified that the sauce was kept separate & not poured on top then this may have gone unoticed so my advice for any future customers would be to either not dine here at all or have the sauce separate to see if there is any mould on your naan before eating.
The owner/chef tried to disguise the fact that it could’ve been the seeds they have in their naan dough or the red cabbage brushing on the naan itself. This somewhat infuriated me because we all know what mould looks like!
Not impressed in the slightest & needless to say won’t be going back there in a hurry.
Good luck with your refurb after ripping people off with sub...
Read more+Edited+ Went back after many years and this place is back to it's best again. Think there is new management. Food is excellent again and priced fairly. Service is also great
(Old review) £14.50 for chicken curry in a kebab shop?? Astonishingly expensive!! I used to eat here a lot and then they randomly increased their prices a year ago - making them the most expensive in the areas by far, even compared to extremely well regarded restaurants. I checked today to see if they've addressed/corrected their pricing, but they've actually increased them even further! Its mind blowing. When I pass it now its always empty. The food used to be decent here, but not any better than any of the places nearby. Not sure how they think they can justify charging nearly double the prices of proper restaurants (which have food hygiene ratings higher than 2). Its sad to see a local business struggling and I always try to support, but whoever is running this place seriously needs a reality check. In an area which has so many great Indian and Pakistani restaurants, the owners must be deluded to think customers will pay...
