The service for us in the last month or so has proven appalling.
We turned up a month ago and we were refused hot desserts by the European man as we had arrived around 15 minutes before closing time and he said they stopped making hot desserts a quarter of an hour before closing as they had to clean their equipment, which appeared to be reasonable, although what ensued showed us that they were anything far from reasonable.
Just a few days later, we came in at approximately 35 minutes before closing time and we waited in the queue, but when our turn came, the same man told us to wait as he was making orders. However, by the time he came back, it was 15 minutes before closing time and he again refused to make us a hot dessert! We argued that we had stood in the queue for around 15-20 minutes and that he told us to wait, and eventually he agreed to make us the dessert but the lack of awareness and thoughtfulness was simply unacceptable.
A few weeks later we again come in around 25-30 minutes before the closing time and the same European man refuses to makes desserts as he says they stop making hot desserts 30 minutes before the closing time!!! Frankly, this type of service is quite pathetic as just a few weeks prior we were told that they stop making desserts 15 minutes before close, but suddenly he decides to stop making desserts 30 minutes before the closing time. This is quite ridiculous as with the way its going, they may stop making desserts at any time and they are very unreliable.
While the desserts and ice cream are quite good, the customer service and lack of empathy for the customers has been shocking and disappointing to say the last. What is the point of serving these desserts if you never know when they will stop making them. Overall, we have had quite a few bad experiences with the customer service and hope it improves, as the desserts themselves are not the problem. And what is more disheartening is that it is the same European guy, and in fact, the last time they refused us, he just started laughing/smiling obnoxiously while saying that he wont make a dessert for us even half an hour before the...
Read moreMy partner and I placed an order online, but the option to "create your own" is just a scam... It says price starts from X and then you add whatever you want from the options. Makes sense, right? Well, it would make sense if it wasn't because it's a must to add something from each category. What happens if you don't want anything from one of the categories? You still have to select something, pay for it and after placing the order, call to ask them to not put it. But you still have to pay for it. Where's the logic in this? Why should anyone pay for something that they don't want and don't get when it's something from "create your own"? If it was a standard order, yeah, sure, makes sense to pay the full price regardless of the changes, but if it's something that the customer is supposed to be able to choose ... It does not make any sense.
So the part that says the price starts from X and you can create your own it's a scam, there's no transparency for the price because price never starts from X because it will make you pay more and it does not give you the option to actually choose your preferences.
I don't have this issue with other places, only Scooperb ones have the settings in the app that makes it impossible for people to actually create their own item (creppe or waffle). Easy for us, just order from other places. It's just a shame that we can't order from this place due to the settings in the app.
Also, calling to request any change to an online order is not the best approach, other places either allow to actually choose your preferences or allow to leave a note when placing the order because not everyone is able to actually call (deaf people, foreign people that may struggle to understand English, which is more difficult over the phone than face to face, people that suffer from anxiety and other things,...).
Hopefully someone will see this feedback and have it in mind, hopefully at some point they'll choose to make the app more accessible for everyone and to be more honest with the prices rather than make it mandatory to choose things that...
Read moreDoes not deserve a single star. Placed an order on Uber eats. The restaurant did not send the order and I was charged for it. When I called the restaurant they initially said they sent it but later called back to say they will send it now but for me to arrange for delivery. The employee on the phone was very rude and unprofessional as well. Worst experience and was charged for something I didnât even get.
Reply Edit- unfortunately you donât have your facts straight or we were mislead by your staff. Se were told the order had been collected, hence not forgotten. If we were told there and then that it was forgotten we couldâve asked the delivery guy to pick it up. Not we could not due to misinformation of your part. No point in calling back to say âwe will make a fresh order send the delivery guy back â because guess what I donât have delivery guys at my beck and call. Which is why I paid for that service which your shop uses by the way...
