PizzaExpress — Restaurant in London

We came for lunch, 2 of us. There was no one else in the entire restaurant. We sat outside and wanted to use the O2 priority deal (pizza for £7) and my mate wanted to use the club discount (pizza for £8-£10). We were were rudely told that we cant use the discounts on one order, so we said why can't you put us on seperate orders since there's no customers and we could just be 2 seperate customers (it's irrelevant to them that we know each other).

He called the manager and she also rudely said no we can't offer you these offers. So I said how about I sit on the next table (every table was empty) and order and then she reluctantly agreed but said you have to go and sit away from him (why does it matter!). It's almost laughable.

Anyways we got up and left after this as its the worst attitude and service I have ever received. In times when companies are going out of business these attitudes won't get this company too far.

Staff needs training on mannerism on how to deal with customers and not antagonise them. Also on using judgement and common sense in certain situations. It would have been understandable should the place had been busy or evening/weekend. But it was weekday afternoon and there was no one there.

And if these offers are making the company lose money, don't offer them.  It's such a scam way to lure...

My Wimbledon Pizza express experience last night was frustrating and embarrassing.

Ordered 2 pizzas, one was normal base and one was gluten free. The normal was fine but the gluten free base with extra mushrooms appeared not to have gone in an oven. The pizza base was thick and raw. It looked like a shop bought base that has come straight out the packet. The mushrooms ontop were raw, cold and fresh out the packet. I sent a picture to deliveroo straight away and asked for a refund from three members of staff but they told me to just leave bad feedback.

I was thrilled to see pizza express do gluten free pizza after many good years of dining inside the restaurant. But I spent £16 on something inedible . As we are having a kitchen refurbed I couldn't cook my pizza and went without dinner as the other pizza was gluten and meat.

Really disappointed. Have contacted paypal for a refund. Do not use...

Came here for a date on Sunday evening and honestly, we were blown away! From the moment we walked in, the team was so warm and welcoming – we felt comfortable right away. The atmosphere is just perfect: relaxed, cosy and with a great vibe for a date night or a nice meal with friends. The food came out quickly, beautifully presented, and tasted absolutely amazing – you can really tell they use fresh, quality ingredients. Every dish we tried was packed with flavour and perfectly cooked. Drinks were spot on too! Service was friendly, attentive and super professional without ever feeling rushed. It’s so nice when staff genuinely seem happy to be there and care about giving you a great experience.
