We’ve lived in Uxbridge town for 10 years and have always seen this place packed with what seemed like hardcore loyal customers.
One weekday morning me and my wife saw the cafe wasn’t too busy so thought we’d check out what seems to be Uxbridge’s busiest eatery.
We ordered 2 x black coffees, an Avocado eggs Benedict and a Mediterranean omelette.
Pros: Massive portions. Friendly staff. Quick service.
Cons (feedback for the owners):
In all honesty it was one if the worst meals I’ve ever had - certainly the worst of 2023.
The omelette was huge looked like it had all the right ingredients just in the wrong order. Spinach, feta, sun dried tomatoes (sounds nice right) thrown into the eggs mixed together as my 7 year old would make it. It looked awful on the plate and unfortunately tasted worse. I felt like I was Gordon Ramsey in an episode of kitchen nightmares. I was too polite too role play. It was just grim.
The Avocado in the Benedict was cooked? So it had no taste or freshness. Just tasted… well cooked. The hollandaise sauce looked and tasted like plastic as if it was from a jar.
The coffee was OK.
Maybe if we stuck to the basics it would have been fine.
If you’re looking for a decent cafe go to the one in Uxbridge Station (used to be called Franks). The coffee’s excellent- the food is decent and is great value for money. It wipes the floor with this cafe.
Not sure why this place is always so busy but we certainly won’t be...
Read moreThe waitress had a strong smell of weed. Everyone she walked by was verbally complaining. I ordered a 12oz burger meal with a banana milkshake for £10.90 and my mum ordered a Spanish omelette and a coffee for £9.50 so £20.40 total and when it came to paying they charged us £24. We waited 5 minutes for the drinks and as soon as I took a sip of the milkshake I knew it was powdered nesquik which is very disappointing because the milkshake alone was £3 when you could buy a whole tub for that. We waited another 10 minutes for the food and my mum said the omelette alright and the coffee tasted like instant coffee. My burger came with 2 6oz patties that were FROZEN which for £10 you would really expect it to be fresh. All the toppings like 3 strands of lettuce and 1 thin slice tomato were on the side along with the burger sauce. And I suppose the chips were alright no flavour in any of the meal though because it was frozen, it would taste the exact same if you went to Iceland and bought a pack of 4 frozen 6oz burgers for less than £3 and made it yourself. Overall just really bad I do not recommend if you want a good...
Read moreAbsolutely discusted by the staff and the whole of popiandy. Was at work with my client and took her to the restaurant to have some lunch, was then told by the staff to not bring her in anymore because of her disability, now this is what u call discrimination!! !! When me and my colleuge went back the next day to sort it out as we was furious as to what we were told , the manager then went onto say that he did not want her in the shop because of the way she eats, now what they don't understand is that it has taken my client years and years of progress to learn how to eat independently, and being told how she eats is disgusting has made my stomach crawl. This place has made my client and her family truly upset and this sort of discrimination will not be tolerated. Absolutely vile the way they treat the public...
