I have booked a table for 6 people to invite my family members from abroad, I could clearly sense the atmosphere of the store was at chaos. All team seems stressed and all over the place. They took ages to take the order, the not much option on buffet, manager approached to ask if things are okay, I told him that we have been waiting for food to be served since a while and he ensured that he will speak to the team, but then nothing changed. We all kept waiting for food, we literally had 3 small pieces of meat within an hour and 10 minutes, so we decided to stop asking for food and flipped the cardinal full" due to frustration as crew were ignoring our table despite been on the first table close the kitchen. We asked for tap water to waitress and she forgot and let us wait for 15 more minutes until I asked her again. I was so much embarrassed infront of my family members and was looking to reach out manager (George) to complain but couldn't do so since I had family around me, so avoided to make it obvious infront of them and not to be humiliated. I left the restaurant after paying £227 for 3 small pieces of meat and lot of embarrassment in return. That was completely rip off. After leaving the restaurant I called to store and spoken to manager (George) to express my frustration and been ensured that he will find the solution once he speak to his head office. Next day he said that he is really sorry for experience and he would like to get another chance to make it right and proposed to revisit along with upto 10-11 people. I asked him that this wasn't the solution I was looking for, and asked him to send me his proposal via email so I can think about it as I am not expecting any planned visit from family in near future. He confirmed that he will send me email shortly but never received any email. I'm not really sure how they are running the business like that to make customer leaving with so much frustration and humiliation.
I called as soon as I left the store and spoken...
Read moreI had a birthday dinner at Angel branch on Friday. I pre-booked the table using the website link at no cost. The restaurant also reminded me by text message to confirm the booking.
As a table of 7 guests, the restaurant reserved a big round table so that we could sit comfortably and close to the bar, which was very helpful.
The dinner was brilliant. They served a huge variety of meats, including garlic bread as part of their traditional Brazilian BBQ, which is a must-try if you want to experience all that the restaurant has to offer. In addition to the meat, there was a buffet table with cold salads and hot plates, including feijoada, 2 types of rice, roast vegetables, and roasted banana. On the side, they also provided cheese bread, bread, and butter to serve with your soup. So, there were plenty of options for all tastes!
The drink menu had plenty of options, and we chose the strawberry caipirinha pitcher (serves aprox 8-10) which was nice. My friends also ordered other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, which were fresh and delicious too.
The decorations were fantastic, and it was a great place to celebrate with friends and family. They have a space downstairs which seems lovely for private events, and the restrooms were very clean.
The team is composed of authentic Brazilian staff, which adds to the atmosphere of welcoming and polite service. They even remember you as a continued customer if you come back (as I am), is a nice gesture.
I could not be more grateful for all the assistance and fantastic service at the birthday dinner. Everything ran smoothly, plus the food was delicious. We will be...
Read moreAbsolutely fantastic experience at Pretto – a must-visit in Angel, London!
I had an amazing dining experience at Pretto, located in the Angel area of London. From the moment I walked in, I felt warmly welcomed by the manager and the staff, who were incredibly attentive, kind, and genuinely interested in ensuring every guest was well taken care of. Their customer service was truly outstanding.
I chose the set menu, which offers 20 different types of meat — and each one was delicious, high quality, and cooked to perfection. You can tell they take real pride in their ingredients and preparation. While drinks and desserts are not included, the overall price is very reasonable, especially considering the variety and quality of the meats.
What really stood out, beyond the food, was the atmosphere and hospitality. The staff were always checking in, making sure everyone had what they needed, and were happy to explain any part of the menu. It felt more like being welcomed into someone’s home than just dining at a restaurant.
If you're in London and looking for an all-you-can-eat meat experience with top-tier service, Pretto is the place. Great value, excellent food, and a team that genuinely cares about your experience.
Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be back!
