I went to try this place after seeing it on the socials and try their super spicy "volcano sauce". Immediately I walked in and was like FFS an autobot, (I prefer ordering over the counter to an actual person) but the staff (shout out to Saima) was more than happy to come over and walk me through my order on the screen. I wanted a burger meal, with like 4 tenders. Didn't really work out as they didn't even have the volcano sauce I came in for. I ended up with the Thai burger, chips, 6 tenders (as that was the least they did) and that coconut mango milkshake. Ended up paying £30 odd quid for a meal for one (being from the north, this is where my soul left me). The burger was alright, nothing special, the tenders were on point, bug and juicy was struggling to gobble 6 up, the chips were so n so, the coconut mango milkshake was bangin and the two sauces I did get (samurai and buttermilk) were spot on. Saima kept popping over every so often making sure I was cool (bless her). All on all, I liked it, was a bit disappointed with the fact this sauce they promote on socials wasn't available, but was happy with the food, portion size and Super Saima. Is a bit on the pricey side, imo, but somebody has to pay for the autobots. Most likely will visit again when I'm next down in London.

I visited this spot with my brother, as it's conveniently located near his workplace, and he had been eager to try it. Upon entering, the first thing that stood out was the price point—it’s definitely on the higher side. The ordering process via the self-service machines was smooth and easy, but I couldn't help but feel that £15 for a basic chicken burger meal felt a bit steep, especially considering other options in the area. Similarly, £18 for a chicken tender meal struck me as quite expensive. As for the food, it was solid. The chicken was perfectly cooked—succulent on the inside and crispy on the outside. That being said, given the prices, I expected nothing less. The staff were friendly and even offered table service, which was a nice touch considering we had initially expected to collect our food at the counter. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but with the price tag, this is more of a treat-yourself type of place rather than an everyday option. It’s definitely pricier than other chicken chains, making it less accessible for regular visits.

The ordering was simple and they have a novel buzzer system to let you know your food is ready, I like that. Most chicken places are just chicken and mayo variety, but this was actually pretty nice with the different garnish and sauces on the burgers and fries. The Korean glaze fries were quite sweet and creamy with cheese, and don't expect to eat them without making a mess! Tasty though... And the spice up was a little spicy but not what I'd call hot, just enough to taste. What I also like is they do a mini burger option. Basically the same in mini burgers as they do in the regular burgers, just a smaller chicken strip in a hotdog bun, if you're not feeling greedy, bit cheaper but you get to enjoy the flavours. The service wasn't bad, but with the checkout bots, non existent, service was simply pick up your food off the counter top and go. Overall, it's a tasty snack stop, but not the sort of place you'd go to for a sit down meal. Beats the colonel though for sure.

I recently visited Chicken Shop Islington, and I have to say, it was an amazing experience! From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making sure I felt right at home.

The food was absolutely delicious, the chicken was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and juicy inside. I just had to try their spicy chicken burger and wings, and both were full of flavor with just the right amount of heat. The portions were generous, and the sides (especially the fries and ranch slaw) were fresh and well-seasoned.

What really stood out was the customer service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. They were attentive, checked in without being intrusive, and even recommended some great menu options. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality in a fast food spot, but they nailed it.

The place itself has a clean and cozy vibe, making it a great spot for a quick bite or even a casual meal with friends. I’ll definitely be coming back! If you’re in Islington and craving some top quality chicken with fantastic service, this is the place to go!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10...
