I had a very disappointing experience at Prosecco Ristorante. I walked in politely and quite desperately asked to use the toilet, as I genuinely had no other place to go. A kind gentleman working there saw how urgent my situation was and kindly offered to let me use it. However, a young lady at the counter abruptly stopped him in front of me and told me I wasn’t allowed to, as it was for customers only.
While I completely understand and respect that policy, it was the cold, rude, and dismissive way it was said that really left a bad impression. There was no empathy or courtesy at all. I calmly said, “Don’t worry, I’ll leave,” and she replied that she had been told not to let anyone use it — which could have easily been communicated in a much kinder way.
I actually felt bad for the gentleman who tried to help, as he showed far more humanity and understanding.
Thankfully, I went next door to another restaurant where I was greeted warmly, allowed to use the toilet after explaining my situation, and ended up buying a drink and a snack there as a thank-you.
As someone who lives nearby and always approaches people politely and respectfully, this experience has definitely put me off. I will not be visiting Prosecco Ristorante again, and it’s a shame — a little kindness...
Read moreYesterday, I decided to treat myself to a nice dinner at this restaurant, and let me tell you—it was an experience. An oily, salty, borderline traumatic experience.
First, I ordered a salami pizza. Sounds safe, right? Wrong. What arrived at my table looked less like a pizza and more like a deep-sea oil spill. The salami was practically doing the backstroke in a pool of grease. I tried tilting the plate to see if the oil would drain off, but instead, it just followed the laws of physics and flooded the crust even more. At one point, I considered asking for a straw.
Thinking it couldn’t possibly get worse, I decided to give them another shot and ordered an anchovy pizza. Surely, this would be better. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. Imagine emptying an entire can of anchovies onto a single slice of bread, and then sprinkling another can for good measure. It wasn’t a pizza; it was a salt lick disguised as food. Anchovies, like truffles, are supposed to whisper flavor, not scream it in your face and drown out every other taste bud.
By the end of the meal, I felt like I needed both a bottle of water and a cardiologist. If you’re into extreme sodium intake and culinary grease traps, this is the place for you. Otherwise, maybe just stay home...
Read moreCame here for my sisters birthday.
I remember this restaurant being something else a few years back.
But the food let it down entirely! I was hoping to bring more family locally to this restaurant.
The food wasn’t great at all I was so disappointed and hungry still after paying so much money :(
I honestly didn’t want to complain in-front of customers at the time as one it was my sisters birthday, and 2: the manager seemed nice. He was also helping the servers.
The prawns wasn’t drained properly or defrosted and was so watery.
The salad was off and wasn’t checked properly and had no dressing.
The lamb was fatty and had lack of seasoning and was just rushed on a grill.
I work in the food industry and love giving restaurants a try. But this was unfortunately below average my visit.
The pizza was tasteless, and had lack of toppings, I understand that not every chef is a pizza chef, but even just try add more flavourings would work.
The servers, we’re just rushed off their feet and they was throwing food out quickly with out no care or attention.
My advice is if your looking to spend lots of money, don’t...
