A Hidden Gem with Wonderful Improvements! I’ve been visiting this bakery as of recent, and I have to say, the improvements since the change of staff have been incredible. It’s always been a lovely little spot, but now it truly shines! The selection of cakes and food is fantastic—everything is fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The coffee is brilliant too, with a great range of options to suit everyone’s taste. Whether you fancy a strong espresso or a creamy latte, they get it just right every time. The staff are a real credit to the place—so friendly, polite, and genuinely welcoming. It’s a small, family-run business, and you can tell they put their heart into everything they do. Cleanliness is clearly a top priority here. The ingredients are always fresh, and the tables, chairs, and cutlery are spotless. It’s also reassuring to see their hygiene rating proudly displayed at the front of the shop. One of the best things about this bakery is the space. It’s not cramped like some cafés, and there’s even a lovely garden where you can sit outside and enjoy your food in the fresh air. It’s such a peaceful spot to relax, especially on a sunny day. Given the rise in the cost of living, I also really appreciate that the prices here are very reasonable. You get great quality food and drinks without feeling like you’re overspending, which makes it even easier to keep coming back! All in all, I highly recommend this bakery. It’s a warm, welcoming place with great food, fantastic coffee, and lovely people running it. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out!

Ordered on deliveroo for lunch - just myself and my daughter. They didn't have the white iced doughnut but they phoned to suggest the jammy one. Yummy!! Delicious chicken pesto baguette and a lovely tuna cheese toastie. The doughnut was for her, but I nicked a bite. LOL UPDATE : visited today 25.4 for lunch. They have expanded the menu which is great but it's more expensive. My daughter had a red salmon salad, which was nice but not worth £9.95. I had a tuna melt panini, which most places serve with a side salad but here it would be an extra £2.45. I doubt I'll return for lunch. A shame as its a lovely place with friendly staff : (

A first visit here on Easter Monday. It was quiet, only a couple of tables occupied. You need your ask at the counter for a menu, they are not on the tables. Order taken at the tills and all questions were answered politely. Coffees came nice and quickly and were hot and strong. The food quickly followed and was tasty. The panini had too much butter for me, but that’s just my taste, may be fine for others! The only two downfalls for me were a wet, dirty floor in the toilet and the music playing, could have been a little more tranquil for a tearoom! Overall a pleasant visit.

Lovely cake and coffee. However I will not be returning. Three quarters of my visit I listened too one of the women working there loudly complaining about the owner, to whom I believe must be a very regular customer, then to whom I think might be the owner of the local dog grooming business. The amount of swear words used was appalling. It totally spoilt what was an unusual treat for myself to try and help my mental wellbeing. If this employee has such a big grievance, it should never be loudly discussed publicly infront of customers plus not use such shocking language. A filter needs to be applied! This same lady served an elderly gentleman who later on came in to make a takeaway purchase. Having selected one cake item, he requested a second one. He was softly spoken. However this young lady had already hastily walked away to the till rather than reading the situation, being an elder person with a soft voice so didn't wait a few seconds as it was visibly clear more decisions were being made, therfore did not hear his request. ( it was not busy) This gentleman gave a sigh of giving up, did not bother repeating his request. I regret not asking for a refund and leaving. Such disgusting behaviour. The other young lady working there was a delight and did not become drawn into any negative...

I have been in a few times and had a great time when it comes to the staff and the atmosphere. The food is done well and the staff was very helpful if I wanted to make changes to certain things. However recently I have been in and noticed the prices have been hiked up. I refuse to pay such extortionate prices for food that is basic. A cheese baguette should not cost £6.25 (or £7.25 if I want to add salad). I understand that there has been an increase in prices generally but using central London prices in Petts Wood is beyond ridiculous. It is genuinely upsetting that I will have to stop coming to such a lovely local place with such brilliant staff...
