The Raj smoke and grill — Restaurant in London

I visited Rajdoot for the first time on Saturday night and I had a wonderful time. I was at first welcomed very nicely and politely and then got seated to my table. My waiter then came along and he was very kind and a lovely polite person. I placed my order and when my order came, it came very nicely on a trolly and my food got laid very nicely and politely onto my table and once again the gentleman was very polite and he treated me very nicely. I loved my lamb curry and I also loved the garlic naan and I can honesty say my garlic naan was the best garlic naan which I have ever had and I recommend it to all friends, family and everybody else. I will definitely return to Rajdoot and I thank all members of the staff who all ensured that everything is perfect and to my satisfaction. They also came once my food arrived and checked with me that everything is fine and to my liking. Great service, great food and very clean lovely restaurant. They also have on the front page of their menu that Rajdoot restaurant has a 5 star rating which I loved to see as its very important for customers to know the restaurants cleanliness and food hygiene rating. How is this place still running !

Me and my family use to love going to Rajdoot. which they prided themselves with amazing food in authentic atmosphere. NOT ANYMORE!!! Under new management which they don’t make you aware of on there website or outside the restaurant (cafe) . We were the only ones in the restaurant and soon after can see why. They charge you for the dips now which they never use to do. food was tasteless and Luke warm. My son ordered his favourite Joypuri which is normally in a red sauce , when it came out it was in what looked like vegetable soup. My other son had a omelette and they couldnt get that right either, coming out liked scrambled egg. Also The waitress put my vegetable curry down and announced “One vegetable gravy” wasn’t wrong . was mainly little bits of mushy vegetable. My partner barely touched his food and asked for the bill. They didn’t even clear our table till after we left . appalling service and food . clearly don’t know how to run a business ! Best bit about the whole meal was leaving . won’t be going back...

I have been getting takeaways for years from this place as it was always spot on and very fairly priced. Stupidly I ignored the reviews lately when reopening going on my experiences in the past. There is no doubt that it has been taken over as firstly prices have gone up in the world but it was so much more expensive for what I usually order which first rang alarm bells! Ok I wouldn’t have minded if the quality was there. Unfortunately what a big mistake I had made and what a waste of money in the end. The chicken had such a weird texture that I couldn’t even eat it, maybe it was half defrosted but definitely didn’t taste fresh that’s for sure. The rest was edible but very bland but definitely not very enjoyable, rather of had a microwave curry if I’m being honest and saved myself 30 pounds. Charge a fortune for the worst Nan bread I’ve ever had also. Definitely will never be going back there again.
