Been coming here for a long time and as you can see I previously left 5 star review below. I order the same thing every time but today when I arrived to place an order I was served by the manager who took my order. I asked for extra sauce and he decided to charge where as never done that in the past, then when I questioned it, decided to give me a lecture on how it’s should be charged by staff and if they hadn’t in the past “it’s not his problem” Then when I arrived back home, my order was incorrect and I called him back on the phone. No politeness in the tone and total lack of mannerism. Decided to tell me he heard different and to add insult to the situation, called me a lier🙄. When I asked if he thought this was good business practice and customer service, he decided to lecture me further on how “he was being polite” We only come here as it’s halal and all up for supporting the local trade, but judging from his tone, perhaps he is too big for his boots and doesn’t need our business. Such a shame as today’s situation could have been avoided, had he showed some willingness to address the issue politely. The term customer is always right does not exist here and there is zero reflection of the beautiful hospitable Turkish culture we are used to. As a long term customer, to be called a lier and spoken to the way I was today, I wont be returning back here for sure! During my trip to Asda, I came across this location. I had previously thought that Kingston's Cappadocia was the only Turkish eatery. I made the decision to go here and put my typical order from other Turkish restaurants. The lamuchan, which is essentially a very thin Turkish pizza folded with meat and spices, was served first. The grilled chicken salad is something else I order. Keep in mind that this was all to go. Since I had never been to this restaurant before and had not read any reviews, I was a little anxious. The food was presented beautifully and was neatly packed. To put it mildly, the side of salad was quite fresh and substantial. The food was fresh, clean, and wonderful. Million times superior. A few days later, I placed another order through Uber Eats, and I received the same quality without any compromise. Remember that I placed my order 20 minutes before they closed and called the restaurant to let them know I had a particular dietary need. I once more experienced excellent customer service, courteous staff, and careful attention to every detail. Ramos may now officially be my new favourite Turkish eatery. I'm certain to return frequently. Prices are cheaper than Cappadocia, portion more generous and service much much better. Highly recommended!

I drive past ramos most days and most days it’s packed. A large establishment with large clear glass walls and classy decor, so when the chance came to dine I did. The chance quite late but I was treated like they had just opened. Promptly greeted with a smile and shown towards an area where I could pick from a choice of tables. After being seated we was given a menu from the lovley waitress. And the smiley waitress returned shortly after to take drinks orders. Given a reasonable amount time my main order was taken. And while I waited I took in the ambience and modern decor. I would like add everytime the waitress would pass my table we would make small talk that made me feel welcome. Before the main a large bowl of pitta and mint cucumber yogurt to nibble on. In my peripheral vision I could see said waitress confidently dressing a large salad that was then brought over along with the main. This is not your normal lettuce cucumber onion cabbage it was the works. I orderd combination kebab of chicken shish and lamb kofte. That came with a choice of rice or bulgur The outcome… Grilled to perfection presented well with good char on the meat. Seasoning was great and not over spiced. Sauces were available at request ie. Chilli, garlic I also orded the traditional lamb pide and that was crispy and tasty Overall experience was excellent my only niggle I had was the price and a dodgey feeling the next day. Unfortunately who i ate with also felt dicky. I would return but in Kingston I feel cappadocia in the center is a better option and value for your coin. Still enjoyed the experience 8.3/10

So we really liked the ambience. Amazing decor and decorations. Absolutely stunning restaurant. They clearly spent a lot of money on this place. The roof is retractable which is also amazing. Toilet were stunning also! The food was really good, tasty and juicy. Cooked to perfection. We were all stuffed and couldn't eat dessert. My lamb was soooo succulent and ill be honest probably the most tender grilled lamb I've ever had. Our only issue was the staff. Service was awful. If not absent. Orders forgotten, when I asked for more bread one guy said "I'll try"... Try to what? Very strange. Never had staff come to us and ask us what we wanted or if anything was OK. Every single time without fail we had to get their attention. When they brought drinks over the lady was like "HELLO" instead of usual, here we are, coke? Sprite....? Was just wierd and rude. No goodbyes when we left. Just a real shame. My other negative was price. It was tad expensive in my opinion. But as the meat was premium and cooked so well it would of been fine had it not been for the awful service. Needs more co ordination. Waiters need to be assigned tables ect. Don't shout at your staff when they come to us, which we were midway through asking for drinks then just ignore and walk away to be assigned new staff member. Who told one of our group they had to tell us what he wanted or delay the kitchen 20 mins. He felt rushed and didn't choose whag he wanted as a result. Not good.

I’ve been to Ramo’s a few times now and I can say it has been not too bad.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service we received during our recent visit to Ramos restaurant in Kingston upon themes on 28th April 2024. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by several significant issues that we feel compelled to address.

Firstly, the behavior of our waiter was completely unacceptable. Not only were they rude and inattentive, but their demeanor throughout the meal was utterly unprofessional. It was evident that they lacked the basic understanding of customer service and failed to meet even the minimum standards expected in the hospitality industry.

Furthermore, the lack of parking space made it incredibly inconvenient for me and other patrons to access your establishment. This oversight significantly detracted from the overall dining experience and left a negative impression.

Additionally, we were disappointed by the limited options available on the menu. The lack of variety made it challenging to find a suitable dish, and it ultimately resulted in a subpar dining experience.

Moreover, we felt rushed to make our selections from the menu, and our orders were delivered with little regard for our preferences or dietary restrictions.

Lastly, the excessively loud music in the restaurant created an unpleasant atmosphere and made it difficult to engage in conversation with my dining companions. The noise level was disruptive and detracted from the overall ambiance of the establishment.

In light of these issues, I urge you to take immediate action to address these concerns and ensure that future patrons do not have to endure similar experiences. As a loyal customer, I expect a higher level of service and professionalism from your establishment.

I sincerely hope that you will take this feedback seriously and implement the necessary changes to improve the quality of service at your restaurant.

In conclusion, based on my experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant to anyone. The numerous issues I encountered during my visit reflect poorly on the establishment's management and overall quality. I implore others to seek dining...

We went to have dinner wanting to enjoy hospitable service, generous and delicious food, that Turkish restaurants are known for.

We suffered the following seated next to a large cracked window which looked like a bullet had gone through it. seated in the corner of the restaurant in front of a hot kitchen on a hot day when 50% of the restaurant was empty! no water for the table was brought until the end of the evening waiter Ehran disappeared after taking our drinks and starters order. Our starters went missing along with him. starters took so long that we were so hungry that we finished all of the bread and tzatziki, not realising it wasn't the hummus we ordered. reluctantly cancelled starters as was too late by the time they realised we hadn't got it. watching the lady after asking to cancel the order. She immediately went to another table to take drinks order and didn't cancel our starters! another lady - seemingly a manager was very coarse in her taking our orders bordering on being pushy with no attention paid to us, what else we might want. No time or space to think. the food was half warm half cold. Nowhere near the portion size that Ramos used to offer. The price had also been increased Mixed Shish - 5 cubes of meat with handful of rice for £23. Not worth it. Would only pay £10 for that not £20+ Lamb Shank for £27. Tasty but not worth that much. Would pay £20 for it not nearly £30 coarse manager returns to shove desert menu in our face. She might as well have not bothered. Put us off ordering desert altogether. she didn't even pay attention to the fact we cancelled the starters and put it on the bill. when leaving we smiled and said thank you for the little that they did so, and we got a dirty look in return from the skinny manager looking lady.

We left Ramos feeling ignored, treated horribly whenever they did come over, and quite frankly couldn't wait to get out there! Suffocating night!

Our first time actively not paying service charge for an entire meal that costed £75.

We could have saved our money and time and gone to Cappadocia in Kingston instead, where they are always truly attentive and not rude/dismissive like these...
