I am writing to share a recent experience at the Red Cow Pub that has left me feeling quite disappointed. As someone who has always been a fan of your establishment, particularly for its fantastic Thai food, an incident last Friday night has compelled me to reconsider my usual positive perception.
While enjoying our dinner with my husband, our experience was disrupted by a blond lady sitting on the next table openly vaping. When my husband asked not to vape inside the pub, her response was a nonchalant "ok, ok," devoid of any apology or acknowledgment. What troubled me beyond the act itself was the apparent lack of respect for the established rules and, more importantly, for the other customers.
The situation took an unpleasant turn when she continued vaping, went to the bar and engaging a conversation with the waitress, who appeared to be her friend, and laughing without regard for the discomfort she was causing to those around her.
After some time she decided to step outside, like everyone else, to vape. This experience left me disheartened, not only due to the violation of the no-smoking rule but also because of the lack of consideration and the sense that she believed she had the right to do as she pleased within the confines of the pub.
I bring this matter to your attention not to complain but in the hope that steps will be taken to address such situations promptly. I believe in the welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere that Red Cow Pub has consistently provided, and incidents like these detract from the positive experiences I have come to associate with your...
Read moreWent on a Saturday night in order to eat some food and listen to some Irish music with friends. |Firstly, good service at the bar, decent array of drinks and the decor is really nice. The rugby was on which I didn’t really mind and wasn’t actually too distracting. The music was brilliant, but unfortunately we were at the opposite end of the pub so struggled to hear. |The food is really nice. I order Khmer spring rolls which are similar to Vietnamese summer rolls - light, herby and fresh. I then had spicy drunken beef noodles which again were absolutely delicious. Other dishes round the table were equally as delicious - pad Thai, green curry and some sort of duck dish were all polished off. |You order separately at the bar which was ok for me although it meant that with three couples ordering individually, the food came to the table at different times so if you are sharing anything think about when you order.|Also be aware it gets super busy and quite rowdy later (all good fun but it was hard to chat...
Read moreWent to Red Cow Richmond on a sunny evening inMay 2025, great pub and my friends and family had food from their menu and said that Thai food was the beat they had ever had, ans they know their stuff regarding Thai food. The manager is an absolute dream, a really nice guy and he runs the pub the way it should be , for the customers enjoyment, and you straight away feel as if you are in your own home but with new people to meet ! They laud in a band, free of charge who were really amazing and people were dancing and having a great time. The clientel are relaxed and friendly and no hint of yobbish behaviour at all. The manager runs the pub hands on and is a great bloke whos personality makes the vibe, a great place for all ages, and types from the well healed of Richmond and Sheen to the basic working man or woman. I would recommend this pub as a local and for special...
