I recently visited this amazing coffee shop Kiss the Hippo Coffee in Richmond and I must say, it was an absolute delight! The (owner) of the shop was incredibly polite and helpful, making my experience there all the more enjoyable. The hospitality was truly remarkable and I felt right at home.
This coffeeshop is known for its excellent coffee and top-notch service. Customers rave about the expertly crafted drinks, made with high-quality beans and served by love.
The coffee it self was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. I highly recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for a warm and friendly environment to enjoy a cup of coffee.
The cafĂŠ itself is cozy and inviting, with plenty of seating both indoors and out. It has a relaxed atmosphere and comfortable seating, making it a great spot to enjoy a cup of coffee and catch up with friends or get some work done
In addition to the delicious coffee, Kiss the Hippo also offers an impressive selection of baked goods, including pastries, cakes, and cookies. I recommend trying the croissants and other treats, which are baked fresh daily
Overall, Kiss the Hippo Coffee in Richmond is a great place to grab a cup of coffee or tea, enjoy tasty baked goods, and relax with friends or work on your own. An excellent experience and I will definitely be returning soon

Read moreGood coffee but using Covid as a justification to offer poor and limited service. This location has a substantial amount of real estate with lots of space but they only have 4 high chairs in the entire store. Upstairs is closed. I sat down in one of the high chairs and had a coffee, asked if I could use the bathroom and the barista told me sorry their bathroom is closed and the only bathroom open in this entire street is the one open in Whole Foods. Thatâs not true because I was just at Bean Bar around the corner and they had bathrooms for use. I think itâs kind of hypocritical if you want your customerâs business, you want them to buy the drink from you but if god forbid we needed to use the bathroom, oh sorry âcovidâ - either close down completely or welcome customers fully with bathroom services to use after the drinks you sell and profit from. Donât sit on the fence. My review also extends to the Oxford Circus location that have the same silly ârulesâ - the barista in Oxford Circus wasnât even wearing his mask properly so plz donât hide behind âCOVIDâ for...
Read moreThe coffee is absolutely delicious, 5 stars without question. It's such a massive shame that, in my view, their pricing, subscription and delivery offers are just not competitive.
Charging between ÂŁ10-ÂŁ14 for a 250g bag of coffee, then charging ÂŁ4 for delivery, is pretty hard to go along with no matter how delicious the coffee is. A lot of competitors at their price point offer free delivery.
Their subscription service also offers minor discounts like 5% over 3 months or 10% over 6 months. As you are asked to pay hunderds of pounds upfront for the subscription, this already feels quite a low level discount. When you consider they often have 10% discounts on their website anyway, you're basically just getting free delivery over six months - and I don't think you should be charged for delivery at that price anyway!!
I love the coffee, but find it hard to justify the cost of going with kiss the hippo. Wish they would re-consider their pricing strategy as it is...
