We had our brunch there. A small cafe, full of fresh food. They have fewer vegetarian options. We had sandwiches, toasties, cookies, pasta salad, and a vegetarian breakfast all were very tasty. Potion size for vegetarian breakfast, cheese toasties, and hummus sandwich were good but in the Avocado toast, they had given only 1 sourdough toast, which I feel is less though the quantity of avocado was big. Their desserts were delicious too. We were disappointed with their coffees, which were not good. I had mocha but it didn't taste like it at all. They just need to work on their coffee as their food was very good. The staff was friendly, and the service was good.

What a pity! Was lured in due to good reviews but the food was bland, service subpar and was not at all worth what we paid. Cakes were served first without cutlery. Our toastie was uncooked, coming out cold with cheese not even melted and had to be sent back, not that it helped the abysmally bland flavour. The chicken sandwich didn't taste of much. The orange and polenta cake was like eating orange flavoured sand. The only half decent thing we ate was the pecan pretzel brownie but it wasn't anything to rave about. I wanted this place to be good, but we would have been better off at McDonald's!

I had an amazing brunch experience. The avocado toast with a perfectly poached egg was absolutely delightful, the flavors were fresh and vibrant. The eggs royale with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce was equally impressive, with a rich and creamy sauce that paired wonderfully with the delicate salmon. The presentation was also top-notch, making the dishes look as good as they tasted. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a fantastic meal and a pleasant dining experience.

In common with the huge Gail's down the road, service here depends on who's minding the shop and if they recognise you as a regular or not. This can vary from 5 star friendly to 3 star disinterested. This morning (Sunday 12th March) I got the latter.

I must admit that I've only been in half a dozen times since it ceased being Vivian's, usually at weekends on my way home after buying a morning paper. So around 10am I popped in and was ignored by all three staff, one clearing a table and the other two 'serving' (i.e talking to) a couple at the counter. Raining, so only three customers seated - a regular couple, with baby and buggy (tucking in to scrambled egg & salmon) and another in a window seat.

After a few minutes of wondering if I'd become invisible I left, coffee-less, and returned home (just around the corner), made myself a cup of Nescafé, and then checked the mirror to see if I still had...

Has lost all its charm since the change in ownership. What was once a cozy cafe overflowing with fresh produce and baked goods now feels sad and sparse. The decorative changes are a major downgrade, the prices have risen (I used to come here to buy Ortiz tuna as it was half the price than at Waitrose; now it's more!), the counter is no longer littered with cakes and cookies and other yummy delicacies, which all added to the cozy feel. Now they are hidden beneath a glass counter, out of sight. The chilled food section looks sad and empty; there's barely any cold drinks selection, as there's now only one small...
