This was a pre Christmas family meal Lovely restaurant in terms of ambience and location The staff were generally friendly The food was not what I expected and I was generally disappointed We love Chinese food and we are used to robust portions The plates were very small and generally lacked flavour The chicken did not taste fresh and reminded me of rinsed pieces thrown back into the pot I love chunky bits of meat in my rice and the special fried rice did not live up to this expectation We also had some pineapple juice - not cheap - and I therefore expected it to be fresh - sadly it was not and appeared to be from a carton My local takeaway beats this any day and they really need to up their game to...

Such excellent food with lovely outdoor seating beside the river! And really quite affordable for the quality. We are somewhat flexible vegans, so we didn't mind the lack of labelling (but that would be an improvement to provide clarity on the menu). We ordered Crispy Beancurd with Salt & Chili and it was the best tofu we've ever had! Also ordered the Spicy Aubergine (which is not that spicy). Came here for the first time with a friend who was celebrating her birthday on a Saturday night. Found off-street parking in the bays directly outside the restaurant which was handy. Our starters which were pre ordered arrived promptly at 7.30pm and tasted delicious. Unfortunately our main dishes did not arrive until 10.30pm. YUP...3 LONG HOURS. So disappointing!!
