I visited this coffee shop recently and had a very disappointing experience. As an Italian, I ordered a “caramel macchiato”, as we say it in my language ; and the young male barista, in an aggressive and condescending manner, loudly tried to “correct” my pronunciation in an quiet shop, in front of people. This felt incredibly disrespectful, especially as it’s my native language and part of my culture. After this, the barista refused to make eye contact with me and made the entire interaction feel awkward and humiliating. I left immediately, not giving a penny to this type of establishment. I hold a PhD and currently work on sustainability reports; I am not someone who should be judged or treated with contempt over something as simple as ordering a coffee. It’s sad to see such behavior in a place that should make people feel welcome and respected, regardless of their background. Sadly, this isn’t uncommon for Mediterraneans or South Asians in London sharing similar features. I hope the management addresses this kind of behavior and trains staff to be more courteous and culturally aware. Young male barista’s engaging in these types of micro-aggressions, in a global city, is despicable. We are all human. Is this the culture you promote in your establishment?

The best coffee shop so far in London!! Absolutely amazing coffee (Monmouth coffee beans) and great baristas! They never burn the milk and it’s always perfectly fluffy. The menu variation is absolutely impressive - all kind of coffees and hot chocolates you can imagine! And the best thing is that you can customize your coffee without any additional money! You can change the milk to soya, oat etc., add extra shot, and even get large coffee for the same price (mostly £2.40)! Their homemade soup was also amazing! It’s a tiny and super cozy place perfect for weekend readings or do some work on pc (WiFi available).

A lovely cafe in wapping - perhaps my favorite! The food and drinks are all so fairly priced and they have really good vegan options. My friend and I had their lemon and blueberry cake which was so good. My personal favorite was their curried cauliflower and chickpea toast is (only £4.20!) which was so delicious and vegan! I would definitely recommend this place for a nice lunch or coffee. They have limited seating, but we were easily able to find a place to sit as I found that most customers got takeaway.

Second review: After 7 years, I came back again and... Guess what, nothing changed or at least for worst. Still 2 girls, not the same than 7 years ago, but built on the same mold, more interested in chatting between them than helping and serving. Rudely pointing out to where are the sugar and spoons. Still no improvement in the inside. Only 2 poor tables outside but I imagine it's because of the allocated space anyway. So that's make it the same really. For better or worse as we say, well here for the later. So I dropped 1 star as I can see that complaints from reviews are not heard of.

First review: Good coffees and pastries. The 2 girls serving here are really not friendly and not smiling. For a place using the motto "happiness is an inside job", well, it's definitely inside... It's cute place though and good ambient music. Quite small and quickly crowded at pick coffee/breakfast time. Owner is very friendly and he definitely knows how to smile. He should come back more often to...

Such a disappointment! I've lived in Wapping for 2 years, and have been going to cafe, which has never been perfect but it was tolerable before. Now the service has gone from bad to really horrible. Always having arguments in front of you, and the food sometimes (such as the muffins) are so stale...they lie to you in the eye its fresh and they don't want to take it back. Terrible customer service. Once the girl was so aggressive it was almost as if I did something wrong ordering a croissant. The staff is always changing, which is not great, and the one constant Italian woman is so rude..I've lived in Italy before and frankly this is a joke. Then the coffee is burnt most of the time. Once I had to return it because they forgot to put the coffee in (probably because they are arguing), and another time because it was coconut milk. Its such a massive shame, the place offers so much potential, but now it just gets worse...
