1/5 – Poorly Managed, Unprofessional, and Hugely Disappointing – Avoid for Private Events
We had high hopes for this restaurant but were let down at every turn — both during our first visit and especially during a private event we had carefully planned with the manager, Vikesh.
On our first visit, the bhel puri was served soggy. When we politely mentioned this to Vikesh, instead of taking the feedback onboard, he got defensive and dismissive. There was no apology, no acknowledgement — just resistance to accept even basic customer input. Despite this early red flag, we proceeded to inquire about hiring the space for a private dinner to celebrate our wedding with close family and friends.
Vikesh assured us that he could arrange the restaurant to suit a party of around 30 people, specifically saying the tables would be lined up to allow everyone to sit together for a more cohesive experience. We trusted him and confirmed the booking for Sunday 29th.
When we arrived, absolutely none of the discussed arrangements had been made. The tables were left scattered in their normal layout with no effort to prepare or personalise the space. Not a single plate or piece of cutlery had been laid out — nothing had been done to suggest any preparation had taken place. As the bride and groom, we found ourselves asking for water, cutlery, and basic service — things that should have been ready without question.
We waited 15 minutes just to get a simple drink order — a jeera coke — and to our shock, there was only one server assigned to our entire party of 30 guests. Vikesh had been fully aware of our guest count well in advance. Why wasn’t adequate staff arranged? The lone staff member who did attend to us did their absolute best and deserves praise, but they were clearly overwhelmed.
Worse still, there was no signage placed outside to indicate that this was a private event. Members of the public kept walking in trying to dine, and we had to tell them repeatedly that this was a closed function. This happened at least ten times, creating constant interruptions and making the atmosphere feel chaotic and disorganised. After finally requesting a sign, one was placed outside that simply said “Please wait to be seated here.” — utterly useless for a private party.
When we followed up our concerns via WhatsApp, Vikesh completely ignored us in person. He didn’t come over, didn’t apologise, didn’t acknowledge the issues — just avoided us entirely. This is not how you run a restaurant, especially in hospitality where attention to detail and customer care are everything.
The food on the night was average at best — nothing memorable, and certainly not good enough to justify the poor service. Vikesh’s lack of professionalism and care cast a long shadow over what was meant to be a joyful evening.
It’s incredibly disappointing that we gave this place a chance on such a special occasion, and were met with mismanagement, indifference, and embarrassment. We would strongly advise against booking this venue for any private function — unless you want stress, lack of preparation, and zero accountability from the manager.
The only reason this isn’t a 0-star review is because of the one staff member who tried to hold things together. Otherwise, this experience was a complete letdown.

Read moreWe been here first time on one of the friend's recommendation about Chinese food for which I’m craving for. I would give star for the food we tried .
Veg Manchurian - 8/10 Gravy was perfect Absolutely fresh greens vegetables & spices if Manchurian ball would not full of flour I would give 10/10 to this dish .
Paneer Tufani ( chef special ) 5/10 Only presentation was good . We were told it will be very hot. We were expecting some other taste other than only chillies Uff🌶️ There was nothing special in this dish which refers to chef special which cost £15 ( lamb/chicken dishes may cheaper than this ) overpriced 👎 Tiny small paneer pieces hardly 8-10
Garlic & plain Naan - 8/10 Both naan was ok can’t complain Zeera rice has no salt at all .
The worst part is they charged £2 for small little slice of onion . Common this is Kingsbury not central London restaurant . I would have gifted you £2 onion bag from next grocery store on same street :(
I would suggest owner to visit other Turkish/Pakistani/Lebanese restaurants on the same street which serves full big Salad bowl ( lettuce , olives , green leafy veg , onion , beet root , carrots ) free of cost .
I’m so disappointed with service charges . What extra service you are providing for extra 10% cost . Totally rubbish .
I feel like some reviews are not genuine ....
