A Lovely Evening at Rosa’s Thai Balham
From the moment we stepped into Rosa’s Thai in Balham, we felt right at home. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the manager personally came over to greet us, which was a lovely touch.
We started our evening with some delicious cocktails and prawn crackers, perfect way to begin. For starters, we ordered the Classic Sharing Platter, which was full of flavor and beautifully presented.
For mains, we chose the Gaeng Dang Supparod Ped (Red Duck Pineapple Curry) a rich, indulgent dish with tender slow-cooked duck leg, creamy red curry, pineapple, fresh chillies, and kaffir lime leaves.
It was absolutely perfect👌🏼
We also tried the Guaytiew Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles), which was fiery, fragrant, and packed with Thai basil and fresh chillies. It was another standout dish, full of flavor and expertly cooked.
Overall, Rosa’s Thai Balham is a warm, inviting place with fantastic service and exceptional food. Every dish was made with care, and the flavors were authentic and vibrant.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy Thai spot with top-notch food and...

Absolutely blown away by the Pad Thai at Rosa’s Thai in Balham, genuinely the best I’ve had in London. I’ve tried my fair share across restaurants and markets here, and they’ve all been forgettable: bland, overly sweet, and stingy on the protein. But this? Next-level. Deeply savoury, with just the right hit of sweetness and tang, and that addictive wok-charred flavour you just can’t fake. Loaded with chicken, perfectly saucy, garnished with just the right amount of peanuts and impossible to put down. This is what Pad Thai should taste like. Total game-changer.
The satay chicken was also spot on. Super tender, juicy, served with a rich, nutty sauce that genuinely made me pause to appreciate it. And the cocktails? Immaculate. Balanced, sharp, and clearly made with care. Whoever’s running the bar knows exactly what they’re doing.
Sure, the Pad See Ew was just okay, but honestly, I’ll be coming back just for...
Read moreCame with family last night and big thank you to amazing waitress serving on her own at 4pm, she has great customer service and we felt really looked after. Managers know you’ve got a real gem. My dish was the chu chi pla which was really exceptional. Some of our other dishes on table weren’t great but also good. My first drink was labelled on menu a tea but was more a soft drink but swapped and Thai lemon tea was perfect. I used to go original Rosa’s before became big chain and the chu chi pla was same level of good food but the satay was ok and soups were bit too salty. All the sauces and dips delicious and fresh. I’d still go back just be considered about what I order. Good place for family, dates and solo dining. Vast menu and lots of vegan, pescatarian and veggie options. Has an accessible toilet. Quite pricey. There is parking outside and in Sainsbury’s across the road. Very close to train station and also easy for...
