One fine day, I wound up visiting this spot with my cousin which is located at Tower Hill, London. My reviews and evaluations are completely based on my personal experience.
The style legitimize its’s name- Rosa Thai Cafe. I would say the Entrance and the area nearby is amazing making it look exceptionally attractive.
Things we ordered: • Fried Spring Rolls • SweetCorn Cakes • Fresh Summer Rolls.
The starters were very delightful, the Spring Rolls were very well complimented with the Chilly sauce and Summer Rolls were quite tangy in tase (These both most recommended )
Mains: • Pad Thai - its a Thailand style noodles which is combination of rice-noddles with some palm sugars and crushed peanuts. • Massaman Curry - we ordered it along with tofu, there were many option with beef & chicken aswell. Its mild spicy. • Rosa’s Fried Rice- It was kinda the best rice i had, it was stir-fried with some of their sauces along with egg on top. It was very tasty.
Drinks- • Coffee (Cappuccion) • Lemony Lemonade • Thai Coconut Water
Dessert (there wasny much options avaliable) • Icecream (Vanilla)
Ambience (4/5) The area and the crowd made then place more attractive and the vibe was a bit different. It seem like a hybrid modern cafe. The furnitures are done in unique way and atmosphere is irresistible.
Money (4/5) The price set was quite reasonable for all the dish, you wont be feel getting cheated went you pay as the dish taste the worth. Just a bit more add on to the dessert would do it great.
Staff & Service (5/5) Inspite of being rush hour the restaurant was overloaded but the staff looked after every small needs and the service was quick.
Final Verdict- I would like to say it is worth a visit, the cafe will make you fall in love with thai food. The main key thing its designed in form of cafe were most of the audience is youth which makes in...
Read moreFor a friday night, we noticed it was quieter than we expected, we were greeted promptly by a young waitress who took our order. Then we never saw her again right until the end when we asked for the bill, I don't blame her as much as she was busy alone serving the rest of the restaurant.
We asked for coffee to who we believe was the manager on duty, this never arrived, no one ever approached to do a check back on our food or ask if we needed anything else, we also order to share and had to request side plates as these were not provided, when we also ask the other server for more napkins, he literally disappeared and we never got them 😅, and when we made the girl server aware of these, she did bring us napkings, but nothing else was done about it.
I also mentioned in the booking that it was my girlfriend birthday and that it was a special occasion, however nothing was done about this, not sure the purpose of requesting these details 🤔.
In the end we just requested the bill and asked for the service to be removed, we where then held there while the manager removed it, we had to get up and almost leave before having to pay.
Perhaps we visited in a wrong day, but won't be trying again to find out.
Ovrall:
Food: Flavours are decent, and reasonable priced, I would recommend ordering online as it seems it's a more delivery driven place.
Service: Its a hit and miss, more staff needed or a solid team well trained, also the entrance door kept opening and did not close all the way, so I would suggest seat away from the door.
Atmosphere: its welcoming, but I would not recommend for a special occasion, it's more for s casual bite and drinks or...
Read moreIt's remarkable that so many people wrote that the portion sizes are too small, but management won't change it. Compared to other Thai places, the food is tasty, but it's not enough to fill you up, and I'm an average size female, not a large, hungry man. You don't get the sense of generosity, which is the sign of a good restaurant. Even the rice portion for £3.50 a pop is tiny. We had to order a second round of rice, as the first portion lasted just for half the curry, which in itself was small.
It's really a pity that management doesn't seem to care about their reviews, especially when many guests say the same thing. In the restaurant business, the rule is that there should always be some leftovers on the plates. If they're scraped squeaky clean across the board, it means there is not enough food. People won't come back. Usually, restaurants that don't do well start cutting down on portion sizes to save money and raising prices at the same time. My green curry went from £9.50 to £13.50 within a year. Without the rice. That's the beginning of the end, as then people start staying away.
Other than that, the waiters are a bit slow, they don't ask if the food is ok half way through, which is usually standard. After trying for 5 min to flag someone down for our second order of rice (it wasn't a busy evening), we had to get up and walk over to the waitress to order more. Generally, the waiters all move very slowly. They're in no hurry, and none of them smiled. I guess the service charge is included, so they don't have to try. The appetizer came together with the...
