Royal Albert — Restaurant in London

When I speak to people about pubs in Crystal Palace this watering hole never comes up in conversation and I was on my way to another boozer up in Gipsy Hill.

As I walked up Westow Hill I glanced across the road and locked eyes on the Royal Albert and I thought to myself; that pub has got qualities that delight the eye so I popped in and treated myself to a pint of timothy Taylor’s brewery.

As expected it was friendly locals pub with a couple of screens dotted around for the football and I even had a lovely chat with one of the locals while I enjoyed my pint.

Moral of the story don’t be afraid to try...

An older no frills pub with limited range of beer, while the pub has set up as best as possible to be COVID safe (one way systems, hand sanitizer stations and 2 in the toilets at a time), the customers did not respect the rules. When I went the cup final was on. I also think the staff should wear masks, but that's my personal view. All drinks served were reasonable quality albeit they were served in random glasses i.e. cider in lager glasses etc which meant we were forced to smell or taste the drinks which breaches...

I loved it, calm, cosy and quaintly set up. I've been to places, real public houses where no dog it human is left out. I looked After the star guestcwho insisted at only 5 mths Tiger Lilly please can you give mummy a break, she's doing my head in...ok .that was it. Mum chilled stopped at everyone.
