The kitchen's table that adorns the front the store is Sally White's offering up to the food god's of Kennington. For newbies I suggest calling in on crisp cool morning, and asking for some of delicious and appetite fufilling sausage rolls, that are more robust than those of flaky alternatives. Plummet into a dark abyss of dark coffee, with a crema, that all but calls your name seductively. A selection of brownies, cakes, and traybakes all lovingly constructed instore are always available along with some scotch eggs and meringues for picnic delights.
For those who love Sally White I suggest making the occasional special request if your planning to come in advance. The team are bubbly, and border line hipster, with a kitchen below to cook up a storm. We need to keep enouraging the lads and lasses to keep up the stellar work.
The atmosphere is often "broken" in Sally's by its small premises, unashamedly naked style of service, leaving you to enjoy or suffer at the hands of a hungry queue. As they select from the display in front of you.
There is limited seating, and it's not particularly disabled friendly, but none the less you'll feel more than welcome.

Read moreI went for lunch on a weekday while having work done on my motorcycle.
The food is good quality and is reflected in the prices. I had a sweet potato tortilla with coffee for £6.35. Both were good and the coffee was a reasonable size.
The store seems geared for takeaways as the cup was disposable and the tortilla was served in a plastic container, although I dined in. The store is quite small and I think there were maybe four tables inside and about the same on the pavement outside.
I decided to have a second coffee and carrot cake which came to £6.85. I reused my cup and was given a proper plate for the cake. I probably should have had the recommended chocolate brownie instead as I found the cake a bit too creamy.
The staff were efficient and helpful, but they did give me the impression they enjoyed chatting amongst themselves more than interacting with customers.
However Sally White’s is probably the best coffee shop/bakery in the area so definitely worth...
Read moreAmazing! I recently had the opportunity to experience a salad and sausage roll from Sally White and it exceeded every expectation. The sausage roll has such complex flavours it really is impressive, the textures are amazing and the fennel and condiments add so much, it’s an explosion of delectable flavour. I also had the chickpea, green bean and feta salad upon Tallulah’s recommendation (great service, as always), and I genuinely have never had a salad so good: texturally, flavour-wise, a colourful mix of incredible ingredients tied together by a tangy dressing. I will most definitely be coming back and I truly mean it when I say that whoever came up with the recipe for this salad is a genius. Not only is it vegetarian, but it’s just so tasty, most coffee shops don’t put in this effort for meat-free options! Thank you to the staff at Sally White, I look forward to visiting...
