If it were possible to give 0 stars, I would. From the moment we entered, we were not greeted. Our presence wasn’t acknowledged. I still proceeded to order but noticed that the food prep was atrocious. Firstly there was a stack of ready-made hash browns on the top of the microwave and cut tomatoes all exposed out in the open. Secondly, the ‘cooks’ were microwaving the ‘poached eggs’ in plastic which says it all really. Not only is that hazard it is extremely lazy considering how quickly you could make an egg fresh. After noticing these things, we decided to cancel our order (they hadn’t even started microwaving it yet, LOL). Anyways the cashier was EXTREMELY rude about issuing us a refund to the point where she actually threw my money at me because I didn’t have my card to process the refund. I tried to explain that I wasn’t happy with how the food was being prepped, and she shouted that it’s unreasonable for us to think that every egg would be made fresh?? I mean, this is a restaurant, right? Her temper tantrum continued. She shouted at us in front of everyone, telling us to get out and never come back. Trust me, we won’t, but I will warn everyone I know...
Read moreDuring a walk past on a lovely sunny Sunday my partner and I saw what we thought was a lovely cafe/food spot.
Before we could even put my foot in the door and get a hello, I was rudely gestured by who I can only assume was the manager or owner. I am not sure if he was telling me that I could not enter for whatever reason or that they had closed and he did not have the curtesy of coming over to explain or to even call over and say anything other than a wave of a hand and shake of a head.
Infront of other patrons awaiting their orders and sat down it was quite embarrassing as I wasn’t sure what I had been turned away for.
If they were closing early, then a simple confirmation of this would be appreciated.
Either way, some work on customer service is needed as I felt very confused and embarrassed.
Clear Communication is very important and the staff really fell behind the mark on this one.
The place looked nice and the food too and I was looking forward to trying for the first time but unfortunately it was not to be.
I found a lovely place next door where the staff were very helpful...
Read moreI absolutely love this Iranian family-run business. You can feel the warmth and goodness of their hearts the moment you walk in.
I’ve been coming here for over 8 years, and their kindness has never wavered. From the moment you step through the door, you’re greeted with a sincere “thank you for coming” and warm smiles that reach their eyes. It’s genuine, and it stays with you.
The difference compared to the nearby coffee shop, Vanilla Black, is clear. There, the atmosphere may look polished from the outside, but it feels impersonal inside—no one remembers you, and it lacks the soul that makes a place truly special.
Here, not only do you get the same kind of dishes you might find elsewhere, but you also discover unique Iranian offerings made with love. Supporting this family business means helping a true community gem thrive.
A special note: today was my mum’s birthday, and they surprised us with a free cake and candle—not for Instagram, not for show, but simply because they genuinely care about making people feel welcome and valued. That’s rare, and it...
